How to unlock the Sometimes I amaze even myself achievement in Star Wars Outlaws - Definitive Guide
First things first, you’re going to want to unlock the Loop Maneuver as it’s not a standard move straight out the gate - and it doesn’t just mean a loop the loop either. The Loop Maneuver is a Rooster Trace (The Mercenary) Expert ability and is unlocked once you’ve done her Expert quest and defeated 15 TIE Interceptors; 12 enemy ships; and completed a space Smuggler contract.
That’s the hard part. Then, you want to head to space, find some pirates, and then destroy all but 1. That last one, though, damage it enough so that it only has a sliver of health. Then, position yourself so that you’re flying head on with it and once it passes, hit and together and you’ll flip around immediately and should be right on its tail. Once you have it in your sights, then, finish it off.
If it didn’t unlock, you weren’t quick enough, but the truth is we managed to do it first time, killing the pirate about 3 seconds after our Loop Maneuver.
Once he explodes into little pieces, the ‘Sometimes I amaze even myself’ trophy should unlock.
