The easiest way to earn a high wanted level is to find an Imperial Terminal or in an Imperial territory. Start by shooting some stormtroopers, and allow them to radio in for help. You will get a WANTED notification, and earn a wanted level in the top left corner of your screen. Take out enemy reinforcements as they arrive, and keep going to raise your wanted level. If they stop coming, hop on your speeder, and find more enemies on the roadways. Keep fighting the attacking enemies until you reach the maximum level. This may be easier to do on harder planets like Tatooine. Once the wanted bar is filled, you'll be warned of a Manhunt, and will get a red waypoint marker to show you a death trooper location. Get on your speeder and go to the location.
Step 2: Complete the Death Trooper Confrontation Event
As you arrive at the marker, there are usually 3 death troopers and a few officers. They can take a lot of damage, so you may want some upgrades and good cover to do this. If you take out all of the enemies, one of them will drop a terminal keycard, which you can pick up and use to interact with the terminal inside the small base. Once you do this, it stops the search, erases your wanted level, and unlocks the achievement.
Once you reach max level (6) in Outlaw’s Wanted system, you’ll be confronted with 1 of 2 events to get out of it and clear your name.
If you’re in space, you’ll have to take down one of the Empire’s flagship starships; however, if you’re down on a planet’s surface, you’ll trigger a Death Trooper confrontation event, where you’ll need to head to the red marker on the map, kill the 3 Death Troopers, as well as killing the high-ranking Imperial Officer and using their keycard on the nearby terminal to clear your name.
So, basically, that’s all you need to do: piss off the Empire, head to the red marker, kill the Death Troopers, clear your name. Simple. Once you do all that, the ‘They live up to the name’ achievement is all yours.
One final word of warning, though, is that the Death Troopers are a little tricky early on, so be careful if you try this right out of the gate. Later on though, if you’ve unlocked The Gunslinger’s “The Better” ability, you can double tag elite enemies to take them down instantly (instead of stunning them before).
If you’re impatient, though, like we were, and want to get this early on - or are forced to. Just stay behind cover, use Nix to attack them and slow them down, and headshot them as much as possible. Whatever you do, at least make sure you have a full allotment of Bacta Vials before you try to take them on. They hit hard!
