Contracts are a mission type given by contract brokers. The brokers are represented on your map with the handshake icon. These brokers are usually found around main cities, cantinas, alleyways, and shops.
Setup
The quickest way to get this achievement done takes a little setup, so if you're in the early game on Toshara, and haven't gotten your ship yet, then you may want to wait if you're trying to do this method.
Once you have gotten your ship, there is a round coffee table terminal just outside of the main cockpit of your ship in the lounge area. You can see a list of all of the brokers you have met and grab contracts from them on this terminal. You have to meet the brokers for them to appear, so make sure you visit other planets, meet the brokers, and then they will populate in this terminal.
Quickest way to complete 40 contracts
Once you have enough brokers, look through their list of contracts and identify the contracts that are space contracts. Only grab these. These contracts are FAST, and usually only require grabbing some loot and delivering it to a space terminal. They will net you anywhere from 200-1600 credits, and you can skip between systems easily to complete them. I would say this is probably the quickest way to get credits.
Grab as many as you can, jump in your cockpit, and head to space. From there you can rinse and repeat this process, and you should have 40 contracts done in less than two hours.

Once you get a short way into Star Wars Outlaws, you’ll unlock “Contracts,” which are really short and simple side missions (of sorts) that you can complete for not only credits, but to curry favor with the relevant factions.
Contracts can be picked up from Brokers found all over the galaxy, like Danka, Eleera and Roba Barev in Mirogana, and Whaluta Skanni in Jaunta’s Hope and so on. They can also be accepted and accessed in the living quarters on the Trailblazer via a Terminal - which is by far the easiest way to deal with this trophy.
In terms of rattling through the ‘Honest work’ trophy quickly (oh, the irony!), firstly you’ll want to get in good stead with all the factions (at least Good), as this will make this 1,000 times quicker. The reason for that is that there’s a lot of Contracts that take place in the cities themselves, and these contracts are usually simple tasks, especially if you have access to that Syndicate’s district without having to sneak in and sneak around.
For instance, two examples of this are:
- Thief Contract (Pickpocket Crimson Dawn) - Pickpocket the Crimson Dawn lieutenant in the Crimson Dawn district in Mirogana.
- Infiltrator (Recon Crimson Dawn District) - Place the spike inside the Crimson Dawn district.
If you’re in Good standing or better, you can literally wander into the Crimson Dawn district and use Nix to pickpocket the lieutenant and then use him to distract the guards while you place the spike. The guards won’t bother you unless they see you performing the act. These two are literally next to one another too, meaning for 30 seconds work, you can get 2 done in no time.
You’ll also need to do a load of Contracts anyway, especially if you want all 4 Syndicate standing trophies (Cut-throat politics 
, Cloak and dagger , What you see is what you get and The Queen's word is law ) in one playthrough.
Once you’ve completed 40 Contracts, the ‘Honest work’ trophy is all yours. Congrats!
