The holotracker will give you a small landmark that you need to find, once you find it there will be a rock in the area you can use which will give you a signal. Follow that signal to a spot where you can insert the holodisc to find the treasure.
There are 5 vaults with chests in them that need to be found in order to unlock this. You will unfortunately have to find the 4 remaining holodiscs after finishing the first.

The holodiscs can be used to show specific locations. The goal is to visit these locations, find a stone that can be interacted with to tune the frequency of the holodisc, and then to find the secret door to the vault where the holodisc can be used as a key. You can then enter the vault to claim gear and crafting resources. You do not need to complete the entire questline to claim all pieces of gear; and you will claim the last part of the set in the Buried Vault.

Like the Disruptor gear set (Old school cool (30G)), the Scoundrel gear set requires more than a few hoops to jump through.
After you've finished on Toshara and are heading to the newly unlocked worlds, ND-5 will give you the Holotracker, which in turn will set you on a mission to find the truth behind Jett Kordo’s disappearance.
This requires finding a series of secret vaults on the game's main 4 planets (there's 2 on Toshara, 1 on Kijimi, 2 on Tatooine and 2 on Akiva).
Finding the vaults requires two things: 1. A Holodisc, which you'll need to learn the whereabouts of around each of the planet's main cities; 2. Find a guide stone and follow a signal to said vault (which you open with the Holodisc).
In 3 of those 7 vaults (below), you'll not only get closer to the end of the mystery, but you'll also find 3 pieces of the iconic Scoundrel gear, which you’ll need to find for the ‘It’s mine now’ achievement. Those 3 vaults can be found as follows:
- Scoundrel Belt - Follow the Holotracker to the structure south of Typhon’s Rock on Toshara. Then follow the beeps south to a Holodisc port in a cave structure down below. Use the Holodisc on the port, drop the ladder, pick the lock, and the Scoundrel Belt is inside.
- Scoundrel Jacket - In the Western Dune Sea in Tatooine, follow the Treasure Hunter clue as part of the Jet Kordo’s Legacy Outlaws Legends mission. In the north of the region (in a cave north of Mos Algo) you'll find a Holodisc, and to the southwest of Mos Algo, in the desert, you’ll find the vault and this chest).
- Scoundrel Pants - In the Artisan District in Myrra, speak to the couple of people talking about a Holodisc. Head to the trader, buy it, and then head to the Forgotten Vault, where you’ll find these pants inside.
