How to unlock the There is no try achievement in Star Wars Outlaws - Definitive Guide

I found the game where you use RT to shoot ships as they go across the screen to be the easiest for me. If you keeps your multiplier up, by not getting hit by the asteroids, eventually the bar at the bottom of the screen fills up and you can use RB to destroy everything on screen. It doesn't seem to require the reflexes that the racing game does. You can find a cabinet of this game on the planet Mirogana near the landing zone in the main city, right next to the ship mechanic. I did see another cabinet like this elsewhere in the city as well.

Great suggestion, worked for me. But I do believe that it is 'LB' and not 'RB' to shoot the super shot. Just a minor correction.

Yeah this one is definitely the best to do it with. The spy hunter clone is a pain in the ass.

To get this, you need to place the highest score on any arcade game found throughout the world. So far, the easiest one I found to get is on a game called Rider. It can be found when you get into the main hub of Mirogana. You literally just press left/right on the analog stick or d-pad to navigate a straightforward path with obstacles in the way. It took me a few tries, but I found the easiest way to do it is put both hands on your d-pad and quickly hit left or right as needed.

You can either play the racing game or the shooter, I'd recommend the latter. Once you've strung together enough shots, you'll get a smartbomb. Save it for when you have a large group of enemy ships onscreen and unleash hell with L1. You'll get at least two chances during a run, the most productive being the final big wave that should tip you over the edge and get a highscore.

This is the one I went with, I found it to be addictive af, reminds of the old F-Zero games.

Tips: you don't have to go for EVERY boost, there is a section around the minute that you can go to one side and skip the other, the goal is to keep the momentum and that gives you some leeway. The rest is just repetition and repetition, specially the last part. As with all rhythm lanes games, you'll quickly realize that it's better if you focus on the higher part of the screen instead of focusing on your vehicle, so you can see things in advance to prepare the appropriate reaction.

In the very first boost, you can get two boosts if you quickly tap right. It gives you a slight advantage.

I basically kept the boost going all the way to the last stretch and got hit on the last bit but still made it. So at the very least you don't need to be perfect which is nice. Just gotta keep that boost going

Dotted throughout Star Wars Outlaws’ galaxy are numerous arcade game machines (you’ll come across your first very early on in Canto, in an old amusement arcade on the way to Club Tarsus).

Whether you decide to play in Canto or in Mirogana or the like, to get the ‘There is no try’ achievement, you need to get the top score in one of two games:

  • Rider - High Score: 1.20:51 - This racer of sorts is like a simple version of Wipeout, where you need to hit the yellow pads to keep your speed up, avoid the obstacles, and get to the finish line as quickly as possible. To get the top score here, just bear in mind that you don’t have to get every yellow pad, so it’s better to play it safe sometimes and just make sure you don’t lose your speed by hitting an obstacle. It might take a few attempts, but it’s very doable.
  • Raven 6 - High Score: 27,800 - This is a shooter, effectively, where you’re the gunner on an on-rails ship. The important thing here is to focus on destroying the asteroids as soon as you see them as they will break your combo, and then shoot the ships as you see them for the rest of the time. If you can line it up so the ships go through where you’re shooting too, that’s fab and will save you a lot of time. The key to a top score in Raven 6 is maintaining that combo and then using the Smart Bomb throughout - you can use about 3 if you're hitting your targets, just make sure you have one primed for the end of the level when everything spawns at once. Keep it going and you’ll get a high score in no time - especially if you learn where the asteroids and the ships are coming from.

Once you hit that high score, the ‘There is no try’ achievement will unlock.

The trophy was knocked out in a slot machine where there is a track. It is necessary to pass it almost perfectly, that is, you can crash or not catch the accelerator only once, otherwise the ship slows down significantly, which ultimately leads to a large increase in time.

It seemed to me that it is easier to do in the starship simulator - Raven-6. When the scale is filled, you can shoot a rocket ( ), which demolishes all ships and rocks. I passed it on the 3rd try. The main thing is to knock down the rocks. You can skip a few planes.
