How to unlock the Great Shot, Kid achievement in STAR WARS: Squadrons - Definitive Guide

Easiest way to get this would either be in:
1- the Fleet Battle Training (needs confirming - looking unlikely)
2- a solo fleet battle on Easy (how I unlocked)

Both of these are just by playing the match as you normally would, and using a Y-wing or Bomber to take out the key targets on the Capital ships

To ensure you get the final blow, I'd have a bomber with a good stock of bombs (either respawn, or resupply at a frigate)

Then wait until the flagship is nearly dead (using the bottom semi circle of the target.

Then aim for an undestroyed system or section of hull (so not on fire) then let loose with all yours bombs

To start a Solo Vs AI Fleet battle:
-head to multiplayer and training
-select Fleet battles Vs AI (third one down)
-should automatically be on Solo, and then change difficulty to easy

How exactly do you start a solo fleet battle? Is that the same as practice mode?

I need 4 players to get this achievement. I’ve tried so many times in both solo and co-op but just can’t get the final blow.

If it's boostable I'll boost with you. How could we boost this?

Well it’s going to have to be an entire match taking turns getting the final blow to the star destroyer or the Rebels counterpart. So in order to get that final blow we will need to work as a team to get to the point where the flagship (star destroyer) is vulnerable. If we get 3 more I’m in with you.

I just completed the tutorial and I am 99% that I got the last destroyer shot. Pretty sure you have too? I did not get the achievement.

This didn't unlock for me for two co-op vs AI matches despite getting points for destroying the flagship. Going to try solo next, giving up on this if it's Ranked only. Even if it's not bugged, it's pretty much down to luck and being on the winning team.

I can now confirm with the 2.0 update that Fleet battle Vs Ai is very easy now and getting the last shot on the destroying is very easy. I did it my first try with the new update and I can confirm that you CAN in fact get the achievement this way. Thank you for the tips! :D

The simplest and least expensive way.
We choose a non-ranked battle of fleets with AI. We select a map at the docks and a bomber with regular bombs (not ion ones). After the round starts, press down and reduce the speed to zero. Let's go about our business (you won't be kicked out of the game). Your team will do everything themselves. After 10-15 minutes we check the life of the cruiser. When the main cruiser has half its lives, we fly up to it, 2000 meters away, aim at the ship and press , so that he is in your sights and you can see his life. Next, we hide behind a large asteroid to the right of the ship. Stock up on afterburner in advance (just in case). As soon as the cruiser has 15% of its lives left, we fly to it and wait for your allies to leave it with 5-6% of its lives. After this, we begin to attack with bombs and lasers. This way I got the trophy on the 3rd attempt.
