How to unlock the Returning the favor achievement in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II - Definitive Guide

This is obtainable with the very 1st enemy you encounter.

As soon as the grenadier throws a grenade at you force grab it with RT then just move the grenade towards him and let it explode killing him and the cheevo should pop.

There are dozens of grenadiers on the endor mission so dont worry bout not getting with the 1st enemy just keep trying till the cheevo pops.

Sorry my guide failed you. This is exactly how I did it. I know a lot of the cheevos are quite glitchy to unlock so it might be worth putting your comment as another solution just so we have alternate ways to unlock it for the community.

yeah, in my experience at least, you have to hit them directly with the grenade - splash damage isn't enough

Your method did not work. Only when I caught the grenade and threw it back, killing the enemy with the direct hit, did the achievement unlock. You might want to update the solution.

Cool so throw bad them , like I would big robots things , cool try that , suppose hovering bad , drop like now ,

This one is a little glitchy it seems. If a grenade is thrown back at them and the explosion kills the grenadier it doesnt count. The way I got it to trigger was to let the grenade explode suspended in mid air in front of them.

For me moving it slowly towards them wouldn't work, as the grenade would never go off.
What I did is catch it mid air, hold it for a second or two, then throw it back on the guy (hitting him)
This was the only way I could unlock the achievement after several failed attempt following this guide.

At the start of the level, you will get attacked by some soldiers and one of them is a grenadier. Simply wait until he throws a grenade, Force Grip it using and throw it back at him, try to land a direct hit or it might not count. This may take a few tries so just restart the checkpoint if you fail.

You will meet them at the beginning of the expansion, just take the grenade flying at you and throw it back.
