How to unlock the Force Repulse Mastery achievement in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Definitive Guide

The easiest place to get this on the Darth Vader level at the start of the game. Towards the end of the level, a Tie Fighter will crash into a bridge, forcing you to take an alternate route.

Once you cross the first bridge into a covering, there will be another bridge taking you to where you would of gone had the first bridge not been destroyed.

Here there will be unlimited enemies, so simply continue killing them using force repulse until you get the achievement

it seems like that would take longer, as there are many more Wookiees that spawn.

I've tried both spots with the 100/500 kill Achievements, and find they do come faster with the Wookies at the bridge since they are more in number and keep coming at you.

To the author, please give a little info on the exact buttons you need to press to get this achievement. i did the saber throw achievement in 2 plays of this mission, yet I'm on my 3rd attempt with this and still no achievement. not sure I'm using the right moves.

Hold LT and then hold B down for about a second then release. There should be a "force explosion" from around you. By the way do the kills carry over from playthrough to playthrough?

this may pertain to others as well, but when i go to the place with tons of wookies, they seem to stop coming after a while. first theyre coming out in large groups and then after 15 minutes or so they seem to come out only as those wookies who shoot at you. i dont know if this is just with me or if others have this problem as well.

It's not completely unlimited - after a while, they stop coming. Just save and quit, then hit continue, and you should be fine

Doesn't seem to carry over across save files for these...

I also struggled to get this after an age of murdering wookies. When I saved, quit, then chose continue the next time, it popped after the first 1/2 kills. Happened for both my saver throw and repulse achievements.

So if you don't find it popping save and go back - may work for you too

Hold LT and Press B to do a Repulse.

I used an elastic/hair tie on the left trigger (with the other side attached to the right controller prong/grip) and just mashed B button

If the wookies stop spawning or start to only spawn 3 at a time, just save the game, exit, and then "Continue" from the Main Menu. Your kills carry over (but only on the save slot you are on, other saves will have different kill counts)

Hope this helps somebody

You can also do this on the same level after you knock down the first door. Just after you walk past the door turn around and stormtroopers will just keep spawning there. Kill them using whichever move you need.

This one is also fairly quick and easy to do on the Jedi Temple DLC. Just start it up on apprentice and after watching the opening video, you'll jump out of your ship.

Do it here on this group of stormtroopers, keep hitting them with your force repulse and wipe out all of them in this first area. Don't open the gate to the temple, just save and then exit to the main menu, select continue game and keep repeating these steps until it pops.

In all likelihood, you got this game to play through it, and if you're like me, you glanced at the achievement list, saw lots of "kill tons of enemies," and you thought to yourself: "No problem, I'm playing through the entire game. I'll pick it up as I go along."

Now, you're sitting there, like me, wondering where to go with this after completing that story mode since you cannot replay the prologue AND your kills won't carry over to your Sith Master save, nor can you carry them over to that Jedi Temple DLC. That means all of the wonderful solutions you've been reading won't work at all if you want to keep all of your progress. Are the Jedi Temple and Prologue good places for this? Sure, if you haven't started or want to start over.

My personal grinding point for this and all the other "kill with skill" achievements was the Tie Fighter Factory, right at the beginning at the level. You spawn in a hallway with some droids (wipe them out if you haven't grabbed the kill 35 droids achievement; oh yeah, and the droids of my enemies are my enemies so they totally count as kills too), and once you get to the end of this hall, you bust the door open with Force Push, and you're in a room with some rebels and some Stormtroopers. At the far end of the walkway where you enter is an unlimited force powerup.

Force Repulse is where you hold LT and press B and a nice unseen explosion throws everyone away from you. This one has less of an issue with bolt deflection, but you can still reset the yellow talent spheres in Force Upgrades under the pause menu and build them all back up except Defense Mastery to lower your ability to deflect the bolts.

Clear the room which is about 40 or so enemies (nearly 50 if you grab the six droids in the hallway as well; yeah, the droids of my enemies are my enemies). Pause the game. Save it. Select Mission Select, then Tie Fighter Factory, and then Load Previous Save. You'll start at the beginning of that droid hallway. Do it again and again and again until you get the achievement, then pick your next skill, and do it again.

How long will it take? Depends on how many you did during the story since this method at least respects that you probably have some kills on it. Happy grinding.

Hey! I gave you a thumbs up for all of your solutions and pointing this out. I will leave the same comment in each solution:

This is a GREAT spot for grinding out. you get the droids at the beginning. a room full of rebels and troopers, and then at least 2 (sometimes i felt 3) elevator batches of another 10 troopers... it's great.

I did not want to start a new game and do the prologue. i already had at least a 100 kills for each during the game, and was working naturally towards the mastery ones... this is a great spot. in a little less than an hour i got 2 of the 500 achievements. working on the rest tonight.

Thanks for this. it is a hell of a grind... but it's not too bad when you are all leveled up. these guys are just shredded mince meat to you. grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the slaughter...

Play Prologue on new game!! I suggest waiting at the first bridge after the one is destroyed by the tie fighter. they will keep jumping over to it and seem to spawn a little longer for I kept running out of them before the cheevo would pop but it may just be me.

Change difficulty to sith master because Vader can not die in the prologue and you will have less chance of killing enemies with saber deflect! Also if they enemies stop spawning like they did for me just leaving you three random dudes coming every once and a while make sure to save and then quit and pick up on last checkpoint because it will save your kills.

You should do this (and all the trophies that reference this one) during the prologue, by farming the prologue’s Stormtrooper and Wookie spawn spots. These are two locations in the prologue mission that have either Stormtroopers or Wookies that spawn in great numbers. The first is located at the beginning of the mission just after you force push the first gate open. Some Stormtroopers will appear behind you and if you kill them, more will respawn. The second is after you take the lift up the tree. A TIE-fighter will crash into a bridge an then a bunch of Wookies will start charging you. These Wookies will also respawn for while as you kill them off. If you want to farm these areas, don't advance to far beyond them otherwise the spawning will stop. Since the Stormtrooper spawn spot appears first, try to keep a mental tally of how many kills you’ve gotten there and try to only move on after you’ve hit 200. Now, when you’re at the Wookie spawn spot, be sure that you don’t go past the area where the Wookies are spawning. If you do, then you’ll have start all over, if you want to use this spawning area. This is because you can’t level select the prologue. However, if you find that the Wookies aren’t spawning anymore, you can just jump off the bridge to kill yourself. You’ll be brought back just before the spawn point and you can resume you Wookie massacre.

The following force ability trophies can be farmed during the Prologue with Vadar:

Lightsaber Throw Mastery
Force Push Mastery
Force Grip Mastery
Force repulse Mastery

As you get off the elevator and move along the platforms (past the bridge that was taken out by a TIE Fighter) you will come to two bridges. Cross the first bridge and, on the platform on the other side of the second bridge is an (almost) endless spawn of wookies. Stand at the beginning of the bridge and just use whatever force powers you want. As Vadar you can not die, so don't worry if the wookies start getting in some hits. With this you will also get the Bossk trophy relatively quickly.

After you knock out the first mastery trophy, your best bet is to restart the level and work on the next one. I found that after about 30 mins the spawn numbers begin to dwindle until you have no one left.

This force power can be used by holding and then pressing and/or holding . This power is unlocked for Starkiller after completing level “Raxus Prime, act 1.” You’ll need to kill 500 enemies this way for the achievement. Refer to “Pushed” for locations of easy kills.
