How to unlock the D.I.Y. achievement in Stardew Valley - Definitive Guide

This one is fairly straight forward. Once you’ve gathered a range of materials and are about 1 Season in, there should be enough unique items for you to be able to craft. It could be done sooner if you focus on collecting specific items solely for the easiest items.

@ tone m4trix, @The Fred Benson, @Jayrox28 and everyone else in their position.. when you know you are about to get an achievement (you've checked the wiki and are 100% sure you understand how it is supposed to unlock) you should start a new day then craft your 15th unique item and if the achievement doesn't pop.. reset the day and try again.. had to do that a few times in this game (you have to make a second playthrough for JoJo Co. Member of the Year achievement so it's not the end of the world but it is really annoying..)

I've got the same problem, I almost 100% the game but this achievement is still not completed for some strange reason...

Heck, year 4 and I've built just about everything I can... Yet I get this as a "close achievement" popping up on standby screen. Seems like 3-5 minimum achievements are doing this for me on Stardew currently... Really odd

Has anyone had issues with the early achievements for some of these not popping? I just got the Craft 30 different items before the '15 items' one popped. Same thing with having a 5 star friendship with one. I have the 5 star with 5 people but not the first one. I guess I could start a new save eventually but was just curious if there was anything else I'm missing. Thanks
