How to unlock the Craft Master achievement in Stardew Valley - Definitive Guide

There are a total of 94 items you will need to craft to obtain this achievement. They are all listed here: http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Crafting

While most of the crafting ingredients are fairly simple to come across and won't give you much trouble there are a few that you should watch out for and stock up on while you're playing that way you don't prematurely throw out items you'll later need or have to wait around for the correct season.

Ingredients to look out for

Now to actually obtain every recipe you need to meet a few other requirements.

Also, I suggest you create 3 empty treasure chests and then craft each item again that way you are sure you've crafted the item and not simply relying on memory. There are many crafting items you get gifted throughout the game and there's no in game tracker for what you have and have not crafted.

Having a lot of issues with this achievement not triggering.

It has triggered and popped up in game, showing as 100% of crafting recipes made with Mr.Qi, but has not triggered on the Xbox Achievements side. So frustrating.

I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps on Xbox support, gone through the Xbox support chats, and they suggested to post on forums and contact the developer. As I am doing now :)

In-Game, I completed the 'Craft Master' requirements in Stardew Valley, with the in-game achievement popping up. But no matter what I have tried, the achievement isn't triggering on my Xbox account. It has been a few days since th3 achievement should have triggered, I have tried re-loading my account onto my Xbox, tried the hard reset and the other possible fixes I could find on the forums etc. I have a screenshot and screen capture on my xbox account showing the requirements are done in-game. My other last achievement I attempted, 'Joja Co. member of the year' triggered correctly afterwards. I just wanted to tick this game off as complete. Unfortunately it's not an achievement I can trigger again without spending another 200+ hours on.

Any ideas on other fixes?

Thanks for all the effort pulling this list together. My achievement appears to be glitched, so documenting here on the off chance someone knows a solution or someone else has this issue...
I went down the organized list filling up 3 chests with the results of the crafting to keep track of everything. The achievement hasn't popped and it appears to be because I lack the ability to craft a stone sign, wood sign, and flower pot. The 2 sign recipes you're supposed to start with, and the flower pot you get when you complete the green house. I've definitely finished the green house (it's churning out over 100 starfruit every couple of in-game weeks) so I'm not sure what happened.
I suspect the only way to get this now is to start over, being careful to craft and store one of everything from an early point in the game. A good opportunity to go the corp/joja mart way, but I was planning to let that achievement slide :-/

Fantastic guide dude. The "Ingredients to look out for" section was especially useful.

Glad it could help!

I went to do this at the end of the game and figured it would be relatively painless and then had to waste an extra hour or two hunting for materials and sleeping straight through seasons because I was missing a pumpkin or tulip seeds. So hopefully this can save everyone some time.

Plus it helped me realize I was missing the Cask recipe because I never built the final house upgrade.

I might have a report of this not unlocking, but it's most likely just my ignorance. I have three chests with all 94 items, but one of them might have been a gift/reward from the community center bundles. Any tips for items to recheck? I don't want to have to recraft everything...

Do you happen to need to find 2 ancient seeds for this? I have redone everything, except for ancient seeds. I mean I donated them and have a full green house of ancient fruit. However I know for a fact I only got the one ancient seed and donated it.

Yes, you need to find 2 ancient seeds, which is annoying. The first to unlock the recipe, and the second to actually craft the ancient seed packet and have it count for the achievement.

Check mine levels 6-29 for Ancient Seeds, kill bugs and insects, both flying and larval, they have a .05% chance of dropping a seed. That's how I got both of my Ancient Seeds. Still trying to figure out which of the 94 crafting recipes I haven't done yet though, I've done everything as far as I can tell.

Nice guide! I had forgot to do the 2 transmutes (copper-> iron, iron-> gold). My eyes passed over those 100x but my brain would say "you've made plenty of iron and gold in those furnaces over there." Stupid brain!

VirtualGreg - I believe the two signs and the flower pot were introduced in v1.3, which is currently only on PC - whatever is missing, it should not be anything to do with them.

I went mad for about 4 hours with this achievement. I spent so long trying to figure out which recipe I missed. Eventually it unlocked after I crafting the barbed hook, which I'm sure I did already, but could be mistaken. Thank god

I've made everything I needed to make in single player but the achievement didn't pop. I also went into co-op on my farm and made the wedding ring but still no achievement. Is there any way to set your game back to the previous update?

Swooshiain - No, the two signs and the GROWING pot are in the XBox One version now, we got that update (finally) a month ago.

MassacreMan101 - I don't believe the wedding ring or anything co-op is necessary, just go back and re-make everything to make sure you got everything the first time through, that's what I did and it popped because I'd forgotten the Corked Bobber.

Has this achievement been made more difficult with the 1.5 update like the shipping achievement or do you not need to create everything from Ginger Island?

By bl4ck blooc on 30 Apr 2022 23:56
I haven't seen anything to suggest the 1.5 update applies to the achievement, but then I got it ages ago, however being a frequent visitor to the wiki, I haven't seen anything there to suggest that 1.5 items are necessary to the achievement. Not that the items on the Island are hard to get anyway, but you might want to invest some time procuring the Island items anyway if your achievement hasn't unlocked after shipping all pre-1.5 items necessary to the achievement.

@PangoBara that’s what I had to do as well for everything. If you have to finish all of the items from Qi’s challenge room this achievements going to take twice the time.

If you have made everything on the crafting page, the only other thing I can think is making a wedding ring in multiplayer.

Wedding Ring ain't necessary for the achievement, it's pretty much the ONLY thing you don't have to make for the achievement.

@Nurturality I had the same issue. It unlocked in game for me but my achievement didn't pop up. I was in a co-op lobby. I loaded up the same world in single player instead of co-op and crafted my last recipe along with the wedding ring and then it popped. I'm not sure if the wedding ring was necessary but it didn't pop right away so I crafted it just to be safe. Then it popped. I hope you can get yours to unlock!

@Waē and everyone else in his position.. when you know you are about to get an achievement (you've checked the wiki and are 100% sure you are about to craft the last thing you need) you should start a new day then craft the last item and if the acheivement doesn't pop.. reset the day and try again.. had to do that a few times in this game

hmmm, not sure. I thought I was missing cask, but then I realized I only had 93 items and never upgraded my house. But you seem to have all 94 so probably not that.

http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Bundles lists all of the rewards for bundles, so I'd suggest trying those items first. There are a few other items you can get that aren't just bundle rewards too. I'd guess it might be a common item you overlooked, perhaps Iron/Gold Bar (from crafting) or the normal sprinkler?

I found both of mine from fishing, while I was going for some of the rarer artifacts for the other achievement.

If you chose the correct path that allows you to get the increased treasure perk, eat a lucky meal (pumpkin soup) and use a magnetic lure then you get a treasure chest like 50% of the time and it took me 2-4 days of full fishing to find the remaining super rare artifacts I was missing.

If you're low on resources for the lures or lucky meals, you could just restart the game at the end of the day if you don't get an ancient seed as treasure chest loot is random every time.

But the chance from fishing is absurdly low (0.16%-0.18%). Apparently bugs and grubs can also drop it with a 0.5% chance, so perhaps just run through the lower levels of the mines?

Under the settings tab, there is now an option to "Show Advanced Crafting Information". Enabling it will show how many times you have crafted an item when hovering over it in the crafting menu. Very useful if you are late game and have not been keeping up with what you have and have not crafted yet.

There have been new crafting recipes since the last solutions were written, plus some other changes to the game, so I feel like a new solution overhauling everything is needed. This solution is based on the 1.5.4.1 version released on February 15, 2021. In the event that there is a newer version at the time you read this, you can compare your list of items against the one here:

http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Crafting

to see if anything is missing.

I have tried to keep spoilers to a minimum, but unfortunately, it is impossible to explain all of this without giving some spoilers.

PREREQUISITES
Before you can craft every item, you must have acquired every crafting recipe and have unlocked access to every required material. This is the real challenge in unlocking the achievement; collecting materials and using the crafting menu is just busy work. Below are the tasks or milestones you must complete before you can obtain all of the crafting recipes and materials. Some recipes are learned instantly, others arrive in the mail, and others must be purchased in a shop that unlocks when you complete the milestone. If you complete a milestone below and don't automatically get a crafting recipe from doing it, then keep exploring and look for a new shop that just opened up.

If you're unable to complete some of these prerequisites because you don't even know what they refer to, keep working on the prerequisites you are able to. Everything will come together in due time.

*Visit the Traveling cart in a multiplayer game

*NOT required in single player, but obtainable anyway. You can solo it, but you need two controllers. You DON'T need two XBox Live accounts. Build a cabin on your farm. This building has instant construction, so if it's Friday or Sunday, you can proceed immediately to the next step, which is to switch on local co-op in the Settings menu. Use your second controller to create a new playable character. As soon as that character joins the map, the crafting recipe you need will appear in the traveling cart. Buy it and then return to single player.

SHOPS
Pierre's general store
Robin
Traveling cart (Cindersap Forest, Fri & Sun)
Pierre's Flower Dance store Spring 24
Star token store Fall 16
Pierre's Sprit's Eve store Fall 27
Traveling merchant cart Winter 8
Night market Winter 15-17
Desert trader
Casino
Krobus
Dwarf (mines)
Dwarf (volcano)
Island trader
Mr Qi's walnut hut

Some shops must be visited several times. Notoriously, you must go back to Robin again and again and again, buying 1 crafting recipe at a time, until until she runs out. Also pay special attention to visiting the festival shops, both for crafting recipes and rarecrows.

INGREDIENTS
The crafting menu shows you the ingredients you need. I don't think it's necessary to list every ingredient in the solution. Instead, here's what you're most likely to be short of, and where to get it:
Hardwood - Replenished daily in the Secret Forest
Iridium ore - Raise your evaluation from Grandpa to "4 candles" and pick up the Statue of Perfection from his shrine the following day. Before long, you'll have more iridium ore than you can use. See more here: http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Grandpa
Solar essence - buy from Krobus
Void essence - buy from Krobus

CRAFTING
You don't need to keep track of which items you've crafted or keep them in chests; the game does that for you. Simply pick "Show Advanced Crafting Options" in the Settings menu, and voila. Putting your resource chests next to a workbench and crafting at the workbench saves you from having to put everything in your backpack.

If you don't want all this junk you'll be making, buy a Deconstructor from Mr. Qi first and toss things into it after you've made them. This could also help your resources stretch further.

Theres a lot of people in these comments saying how their achievements arent unlocking. I didnt have any problems, so i thought it was either playing in multiplayer or updates that was causing all the problems. So when i did the local coop for the recipe i had a plan. I was going to do another achievement the same day so if the achievement didnt pop i knew multiplayer was the problem. I got the recipe and shipped some stuff to reach 1mil cash and sure enough the achievement didnt unlock. Even though there was a message in the text chat saying my farm made $1mil. I closed the game (if you didnt know you can still reset the day at the cash earned screen after sleeping). So i did it again and it didnt work again. When i loaded back in then the achievement popped right away, before i even shipped my things. So maybe it was a late unlock, but it wouldve been my first while playing and wouldve been a huge coincidence. I played "journey of the prairie king" for the first achievement that same day to make sure my achievements werent still buggy and that unlocked right away. Be very cautious.

Since update 1.4 there are now 105 items to craft in the game. The additional 11 items from the solutions for 94 above are:

Wood sign
Stone sign
Garden pot
Warp totem: desert
Tea sapling
Tree fertiliser
Mini jukebox
Deluxe scarecrow
Brick floor
Grass starter

The wedding band is the 105th item, and is only available in multiplayer. I did make one in my multiplayer game but cannot say for certain if it is needed for the achievement!

There are 93 total items to craft. You'll get most of the recipes for leveling up your skills. Some of them can only be purchased, however. The vendors are Pierre at community events, Krobus, the Dwarf, and Robin. Some of Robin's recipes will only be available after you've purchased her other recipes, so just keep going in and out of the shop until she doesn't have any more for sale.

Crafting isn't tracked on the collectibles tab; the only way to know what you've made is to keep track of it manually. Here's a spreadsheet to help.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rTxEvKUFmRDS4l8px_84...

Be careful to track everything when you make it - some of the items can also be found as drops or given as quest rewards so just because you have something doesn't mean that you made it.

You need to unlock every recipe and craft every item once.

The full list is available on the wiki : https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Crafting

Also, if you don't want to keep a list of everything that you already crafted, you can use this great tool : https://mouseypounds.github.io/stardew-checkup/

Just select your save file and you will get a list of uncrafted items + unobtained items.
(It's also useful for a lot of other achievements like cooking)

The ingame way to check which items you have crafted is to enable "Show Advanced Crafting Information" in the settings.

This achivement requires you to go through the entire ginger island update since some recipies require Qi Gems to buy.

Recipes:
- Can be purchased from Robin at any time
- Pierre is bought during the holidays (24th day of spring, 27th day of autumn)
- Purchased from Krobus, you need to open the sewer - get a rusty key
- Purchased from the Dwarf at level 0 of the mine on the right behind the stones. You can break them with a steel pickaxe or a megabomb; to speak with him, you first need to bring Gunther all the Dwarven scrolls (1-4)
- Given for friendship with Linus (4 hearts) and Robin (6 hearts)
- For donating an ancient seed to the museum (for crafting you will need to find another one)
- After the last home improvement with the addition of a basement
- The rest are obtained as you level up

IN VERSION 1.4, THE TROPHY DOES NOT WORK YET, unless for some reason you have a pair of collectible scarecrows. Among the blueprints there is a crafting Deluxe Scarecrow, which is given when you collect the entire collection of Scarecrows (there are only 9 of them in the game). Two from the collection are given for 20 and 40 items sent to the museum. On version 1.4, according to the wiki, you can buy them at the Night Market in winter, if you already received them as a reward in the museum (and ended up throwing them away or they broke due to weeds on the street), but if they were received before version 1.4, then they are not there will appear. There are already reports on reddit that this bug will be fixed someday.
