This is what happens when you fire the Cold and Fire gun to the same enemy, they get frozen and burned at the same time and you see the Thermal Shock words around them. Should come easily on the first planet.

Thermal Shock is triggered when you hit a single enemy with both Heat and Cold weaponry. Since even the Starter Pack comes with a Heat and a Cold weapon, this isn't difficult for anyone to do ten times.

To thermally shock a target, you need to first attack them with a fire weapon, and then with an ice weapon, or vice versa. Just point a fire and ice cannon at the ship and alternate attacks. Most likely, you will receive this trophy at the very beginning of the game.
