This one is actually very easy, but it takes a lot of time, press LB and hold it until the top bar turns blue, and release

I personally am used to accelerating with 
and turning with 
. So in order to make sure that my left hand didn't have to both turn and hit 
, I held 
for acceleration instead and used 
to boost. What you want to do is
hold the boost button and every time you see the boost bar turn blue just release it.
If you're used to accelerating with your right index finger, this will come naturally for you. Get used to your left index finger maintaining acceleration with and treat like kind of a gear change button that you don't stop using. With this technique, you'll be racking up huge portions of progress for this achievement within each race (90-100+ drifts per race) and will have this achievement very shortly.
Edit: Make sure that you pause for a little bit before pressing again after releasing it so that the drifts count as separate drifts. With this technique, I was able to easily chain many or perhaps unlimited drifts reliably by having my next boosting bar build up and turn blue during a currently burning boost in the boost meter.
