How to unlock the First boss defeated! achievement in Starlit Kart Racing - Definitive Guide

Hi.

Finish and win your first cup which consist of 4 races. I went straight for 300cc races and finished top after the 4 Cup races. It was after this that I got my first boss race unlock.

Doc Buddha confirms that the boss race also unlocks after finishing the 150cc Cup.

As for the actual boss race itself. It consists of three laps and a choice of what cc to compete at. I picked 150cc for this and found the boss quite hard to beat as at the time of racing, I was only at level 2 with just a couple of acceleration upgrades.

I still managed to beat him but only after the very last corner. I believe that the more you play and the better your stats, the easier the race will be.

So in short, try it early on and if you cannot beat the first boss, play some more cups and upgrade your stats a bit before trying again.

Yes it does unlock after the 150cc cup too. I won the cup, but the wording in the game just says complete the cup so not sure if the win is necessary.

After you complete your first cup, you'll unlock your first boss battle, which is accessible in the Boss Race mode entered through the main menu. As for the boss, despite them being a little faster than normal AI racers for a given difficulty and using more abilities against you, if you have a few acceleration, drifting and boosting upgrades, they should be no problem. If you repeatedly blue drift and boost, you should be able to get 1st place. But if you're struggling, try to alternate between blue and purple boosts. Do a purple boost and a few blue boosts to maintain that speed. This will allow you to go at maximum speed
for huge stretches of distance and will most likely certify that you get 1st place. I did this on 300cc. So 150cc should be no problem.
