How to unlock the A Three Hour Tour achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition - Definitive Guide

#Edit1 - @Zer0e confirmed you have to play on 3 different maps, if you do not, you will not receive the achievement
#Edit2 - @Soldier of Zeus confirmed, if you play in coop only the host will recieve the achievement

In order to get this achievement you have to claim 3 landmark outposts. Here is the way I did this:
- I started the new community (the easiest "Green" difficulty),
- Earned a 500 influence and immediately went to landmark outpost and claim it,
- Repeat the cycle 2 more times on different maps!

If you just want an achievement fast as possible, I recommend to play on "Green" difficulty because the outposts cost only 500 influence

Some people messaged me back, they needed to change a map for established community because they did not have such option as "claim" (I personally did not have to do that but might help other players with same issue)

Scroll little bit bellow on this webiste, there are locations of each landmark outpost on each map!
https://state-of-decay-2.fandom.com/wiki/Contents_of_the_Ope...

Good luck! If you have questions you can ask below or you can text me on xbox. I will try help!

#Edit3 - FOR NEW PLAYERS! Here I will answer on basic questions/problems:
1 - Yes, you can load established community and claim the outpost there
2 - Yes, you have to claim 1 on three different maps each
3 - Yes, for now there is only one landmark outpost on each map
4 - No, they do not only spawn in communities created after the update
5 - Yes, you can do it as well with the single community - on each map there is/are an icon(s) of "exit point" (BUT it requires the level 2 command center). But remember to select the map where you did not create an the outpost

Can I load an established community and claim 3 landmark outposts on the same map, or do I have to claim 1 on three different maps each?

i.e. Is there only one landmark outpost on each map?
Do they only spawn in communities created after the update?

Yes, can confirm 3 different maps is necessary after trying Meagher Valley 3 times in a row at first.

@Stefano135 if you do it in coop only the host gets credit for each Landmark Outpost Captured towards the achievement. You will have to be host doing it in coop.

I couldnt use an established outpost until I did something to reset the map, like change difficulty.

Do I have to keep the outpost or can I claim it and then abandon it?

Does the achievement update as you progress? I've secured two landmark outposts so far (providence rich and cascade hills), just moved to Meagher Valley - but doesn't show any 'progress'. Hoping it pops when I get the last one.

I can confirm that you can get this achievement via multiple playthroughs. I had one community where I claimed a landmark. Created a new community on normal, claimed another landmark, completed the campaign and then moved to a new map with that community on Dread. Upon claiming the landmark on this map, the achievement popped. Hope that helps.

There’s only one of them per map so yes, you can just do one per map or per community.

This one takes a while if you use the same community, but I actually think it is easier to complete with the same community. Don't get sidetracked by other missions just go grab the sites on all the new maps and you get the achievement.

The fastest and easiest way to unlock all the recent TU Achievements is if you have one, an already established community with a few 1000 influence.

Or the trader legacy card this gives you 4000 Influence, if you go this way make sure to upgrade the Command post as you need it at level 2 to do the following method

What you want to do is make a Green Zone map,

IMPORTANT NOTE: This will overwrite the progress in the world so dont use saves you still need! You have been warned!!!

When you load your new region the new outposts will show up so look for the landmark outposts they're fairly easy to spot. They are identified with a crown like symbol, they will always show up on your in-game map even if you haven't scouted the area they are in.

I have if you want to see them highlighted on a map in the link below

Check link for the maps:

https://state-of-decay-2.fandom.com/wiki/Contents_of_the_Ope...

So when you claim the outpost instead of making a new community, go to the edges of the map. There are exits you can use to travel between areas.

They look like an escape sign you would see in an appartment complex or a store.

When you reach them, make sure to select a map that you haven't done yet. As you cannot do repeats.

This will transfer that community (with all the stuff you have) to the next map. Saving you the hassle of getting a car (if you get to the exit point with the car ofc) and getting more influence.

Doing it this way it will take little under a hour to complete the title update.

I recommend doing them in this order:

1. Providence Ridge
2. Maegher Valley
3. Cascade Hills

As Cascade Hills is far from an exit point. But usually only has only 1 plague heart on it, it doesn't have an inside to clear and it thus saves time.

The benefit of doing it like this is you can keep all the gear, guns and materials you had already making it all slightly easier to kill hearts, freaks etc you could encounter on the way.

Hope this helped !
