How to unlock the I Was All By Myself achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition - Definitive Guide
*This was done playing with update 6.0 installed.
The first thing you should do is play the DLC with others and get a feel for it. Keep playing until you unlock the CLEO Blast Rifle. You need to complete any combination of 23 download waves (3, 5, and 7) to unlock the weapon. You will also be using the CLEO Hand Axe and Deployable Mines which unlock along the way.
Once you have those items, start a match and make sure your game has the network/matchmaking settings turned off.
***The first very important thing you need to look out for when starting a match is to make sure the two AI have rifles and not shotguns. If they have a shotgun, they will be worthless. This is one of the most helpful tips when I got the achievement. You do this by quitting the match and starting a new one until they both have rifles.***
The setup will be similar to other methods. Put bandages near the technician, repair kits near the barriers, first aid kits (all but one) in front of the wall at the middle, mines somewhere behind the wall, and put your CLEO Blast Rifle with ammo to the left outside the wall where you can pick it up quickly later.
For waves 1-3, grab the shotgun in the first chest and use it. When the CLEO drops come down, focus on repair kits and bombs first. First Aid kits and CLEO ammo are good to have and drop them with your other reserves, but make sure you have time to repair the walls. Use fire bombs if too many gather up on a barrier.
One wave 4, drop your shotgun and grab your blast rifle and ammo. It works wonders on armored zombies and juggernauts. It can have poor accuracy at long range, but if you click RS while aiming, you will zoom in a little and that will improve.
On wave 5, deploy some mines behind the wall so that the technician is covered, and save your other one for when things get hairy (and they will). The wall came down about half way through the wave on my run. When this happens, keep shooting. I had the blast rifle aimed at the technician and fired away until the round was over. Don't let juggernauts get too close. The rifle can stagger them in a few shots. When they kneel, just shoot them in the head instead of doing a takedown.
The achievement will pop when the CLEO drops come down before wave 6.
I was able to keep going and use more mines to complete wave 7 solo. It's a good bit easier after wave 5. I had one wall down all of wave 7 and still made it through ok.

Wow. I must be a real Noob. I am stuck on this in a big way. 100 Days in a Dread zone - easy.... Level 6 Daybreak Solo - Impossible.
I have restarted many times to make sure my AI mates get AR's. I have tried Cleo Shotgun and it doesn't kill juggs fast enough - the assault version even eats through ammo and doesn't seem to stop juggs. I often get caught trying to reload and avoid zeds to complete the animation.
I tried taking rocket pods and mine fields and I cannot stop Juggs taking down the wall and my geek getting swamped on Round 5.
Round 1+2 with a Shotty - no problem.
Round 3 with a Hordebreaker - no problems.
I get through Round 4 easy enough with Cleo ammo and save my explosives for round 5 but I just get bogged down trying to execute armoured Zeds as my AI cannot kill them (even after I cleo their legs to try and save the wall). Even the mine field and/or rocket pods doesn't save y geek once the walls come down...

How do you change out their weapons if they have a shotgun?

Followed all of his advice, and completed it first try. Just to clarify: this achievement is for reaching the beginning of wave 6, not for finishing wave 6 as I thought. Regardless, I followed the principles in his video and completed it with no worries.

The game won't drop anything decent in the CLEO drops like happens in that video. I have 2 mines to last the whole match and fail with 30 seconds left. :/

Drops are now fairly consistent across all games. Like noted in the video, you have to collect and SAVE EVERY explosive for round 5. You will use absolutely all of them.
