How to unlock the Nice Moves There achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition - Definitive Guide

To get the Nice Moves There achievement in State of Decay 2 do the following:

Each character has a leadership path which can be seen in their bio. To unlock this achievement, you'll need to elect a leader with the Sheriff path.

You can level up your character from Recruit to Citizen to Hero by choosing them as your playable character and doing things to benefit the group. Pretty much anything you do helps level your character -- killing zombies, gathering resources, clearing plague hearts, etc. When they've reached Hero status you can promote them to settlement Leader.

Note that you can only have one leader at a time so if you really want to do all the variations of this achievement in one playthrough, you'd need to get your leader killed after they've been elected.

Bummer, I was hoping you could choose a new leader when you moved to a new base or, at the very least, if you move to another map.

Also, when choosing three random characters instead of the tutorial it said something like "Choose random characters or characters from completed campaigns." You think you can just start a new playthrough with the other leaders you still need? Even if they are reset at least you know you have the ones you need.

Hey I have an aside question about this - since there are achievements tied to electing and finishing a legacy campaign with a leader, can I elect a sheriff, finish its campaign, let him die and then elect a different guy overtime and rinse and repeat?

You'll need to manipulate cloud saves for that. When you finalize a character's legacy, that settlement/playthrough is ended. But you can do it, reload a cloud save, kill that leader and elect a new leader with another type of leadership path. So you could technically get all the alternate endings in one go.

Could you theoretically just save before electing them as to not lose a member of the community?

Thanks for the info by the way!

Okay, but how do the achievements for completing a campaign with the "warlord's legacy" "builder's legacy" etc work? There are no guides for them. Do they need to be the leader? Finish the campaign with them as the leader? Start a new campaign with a warlord/builder/whatever that was the leader of a previous playthrough (the legacy part)?

Same as this one, N7. You elect those people as leaders and see through to the end of their legacy missions, the Last of which will appear after you destroy all plague hearts.

What legacy missions? I have had several missions for various characters that were described as "personal goals" but I've never seen anything called a legacy mission. Do they have to be a leader for them to show up? I've only got one plagueheart left and all six of my survivors are heroes with all of their upgraded skills maxed out and there hasn't been anything like a campaign so I don't know what the fuck I'm supposed to be doing.

After you destroy all the plague hearts, your leader will get a storyline with several missions to complete and cement your enclave’s legacy. There seems to be 10 plague hearts per town per playthrough.

This has probably been asked before but can I make a backup save on USB before electing a leader, then the save is safe and I can elect the leader do their legacy, reload the save and build up next character rather than kill the old leader.

how is this missable? If you don't get it by the end of the game, when you FINISH the game, then you don't get. THIS IS NOT MISSABLE AND CAN BE EARNT AT ANYTIME DURING THE PLAYTHRU UNTIL YOU GET TO THE END.

After some updates you can now manually demote your leader and elect someone else. You no longer have to get them killed to change leadership.

You can Demote a leader and choose somebody else. The previous leader goes back to being a citizen.

From my first few hours, I found that without even trying I have members of my community that all fit the categories, just need to level them up to heros to select them. I honestly don't even think you'll need to do multiple playthroughs, as much as just making a cloud save at the point you select a leader and then after that campaign is done, just going back to it and select a different person.

Hello Everyone!

First i will write the solution for this achievement in english, then in portuguese.

In order to get a leader you first need to raise a character rank to hero. They will start out or recruits or civilians, depending on if they are your starter characters or not.

Killing zombies, plague hearts, clearing infestations, bringing packages (closed bags) to the base, doing personal missions or helping other factions will help you raise up your rank. You need to get someone to the Rank of Hero before you can assign them as a leader.

Recruit --> Citizen --> Hero (then can be selected as leader).

You can check the kind of leader that the character will be, taking a look in his status in the community view. For this achievement, you must select a Sheriff leader.

To select a leader you need to go to your community view (where all survivors you have recruited appear), and click on the state of decay symbol in the middle (the eagle with the ax and the gun). There will appear all your characters with hero status that can be elected as leader, and the kind of leader they will be.

Hope i can be of any help,

Cheers!
