How to unlock the Arrested Developments achievement in State of Decay - Definitive Guide

This achievement is awarded by completing the storyline that begins with a mission called "The Law". There have been accounts that the last of these missions is missable, so make sure you pay attention if you get an urgent call from this area!

...with the tiny caveat that a lot of things can go wrong in this game... But I DON'T think that's one of them. For my first playthrough I waited a REALLY long time doing "The Law" without any trouble whatsoever so I really don't think that mission is missable.

Wow... I got the call for Trouble at the Courthouse while turning in another mission at my base nearby. By the time I got there (less than 2 minutes later) 3 people had been killed and it said I failed the mission and then of course it auto-saved.

Oh shoot, forgot to ask but is "The Law" a mission I can hold off on for a little while, or do I have to do it ASAP?

I really don't wanna do ANY Marshall missions until I move there......except the first "Grange" mission.....I love this game but it can be a little frustrating trying to balance everything at once trying to get at least ONE perfect play-through....finally found the perfect build for Marcus AFTER I already gave him all his skills, lol

Hahahaha! Yeah I know what you mean. If you don't start them you can wait with the marshall missions until you've moved your home base, I'm about 99% confident that the "The Law" mission won't suddenly disappear on you. I don't think the "Grange" missions become available until after "The Law" has been completed? It's always been like that for me anyways.

Now that you mention builds, you might be interested in my survival guide State of Decay Walkthrough Page 7 - State of Decay - Mini Missions . Might include some tips you haven't discovered yet!

Oh yeah.....I literally read that like 3 hours ago....learned a few things like the fast travel........and I actually got the first "Grange" mission before I even did the "The Law".......and I STILL haven't done that darn "Vet Clinic" one yet, trying to get to it asap before Ed dies.....I kinda want to see what the hype is about the nimble trait (Yes I know Sam has it too, lol)

I just got the acheivement. I missed the first call, but then about a short 12 hours of gameplay (real time not game time) later, bam! second chance! I arrived with two people dead but finished with minimal challenge and got it!
Just to note I finished all other non-story missions and the story missions up to:...

Grr!! Playing the YOSE version now....IGN stated that the last mission appears several days after "Civic Duty" and "Ask the Sheriff". I'm at the point where I'm able to start "Exit Strategy", which is almost end game.....is this miss-able at all???

Update: The mission just popped up, I think I had t much going on at once, lol

"The Law" is NOT time sensitive though. It's just the first mission that starts that story line. You can put it off indefinitely, it will not go away.

What sucked for me was I literally JUST got "The Law" a few seconds ago and I haven't even started that "Vet Clinic" mission yet, lol, I did the first army one, long drive for me....

There have been accounts that the mission could pop up again, so finish the playthrough and keep your fingers crossed. It would be awesome if you could report back how it goes!

Nothing so far. I'm only even attempting to wait it out as I need Quentin's quest to come up as well - many hours in and no luck at this point. It did give me time to work up to 500 fame, but now I'm getting close to just starting over as that may be more reliable (for both quests).

I've haven't heard of that happening before, but I've encountered "mission failed" in other storylines and that meant the end of that storyline. I.e no more missions - a second playthrough required to complete them. It's sortof the nature of the game, with permadeaths, no do-overs and all.

Story related. Rather far into the game, the crazy lady from the Army will radio the Marshall Courthouse warning them that a bunch of zombies are coming their way. The Courthouse won't respond, and it's your job to go check on them and see what's up (Trouble at the Courthouse mission). This will be the last quest for the people at the Courthouse and make sure you do it as soon as it appears.

After some time, as you meet the judge, this mission will be available, but if you ignore it, it will soon disappear. The point of the mission is to kill all the zombies in the building.
