How to unlock the Rule #1 achievement in State of Decay - Definitive Guide

For this achivement you can easily increase your cardio skill by EATING SNACKS. Snacks give you infinite cardio for about 20 seconds.

So what I did I went to my supply locker at my home and bought snacks with the influence points. Then after about 15-20 mins eating snacks and RUNNING around I got the achivement.( I eat around 30 snacks and used about 150 influence points)

I've tried this in real life and it doesn't work. So I just dropped the running and kept eating snacks.

It's best to grind this out right out right when you get to the ranger station parking lot. Just run in a circle and you should get this along with a helpful specialization. It should be noted zombies will not spawn here and it's always daylight. Not to mention the most that could wander in the compound is 1-2 zombies max.

The other guides are great IF you just want to grind....but it gets SO boring after a while.........

Here is a much more productive way to "grind"............

What I did in the beginning of the game was ONLY the two missions from the Ranger Station, then I just RAN to every single cabin in the north area of the map, clearing out the Zeds and grabbing all the goodies to store at the Ranger Station...

Reason I did it this way is because I was able to level up my Fighting, Powerhouse, and Leadership, as well as my cardio all at the same time!

On a different note: Its also a great way to level up Maya while you are at it because you don't start to get fatigued until AFTER you make it to the church in Spencer's Mill

I just wanted to add this as a comment because it has nothing to do with the solution: I choose not to "Investigate the Gunshots" until later because Maya tended to run for the Zeds first and more often then not, tended to ruin my chances to level up my Leadership skill....

Reach Cardio Skill level 7 with at least one survivor. This requires a whole lot of sprinting (), but can be hastened by building a workout area and upgrading it to a dojo, though it's not required if you plan on playing the game for quite a while, especially if you prefer running around and exploring. Some characters also have advanced running abilities, making running easier for them.

It’s easy to level up this skill, but it takes a long time. You need to run, jump, climb over fences, in general, do everything that takes away your stamina bar. The more stamina you spend, the faster this skill is upgraded.

It’s easy to get this achievement, take it, fill your inventory with food and run, after the stamina bar runs out, eat food, the bar will regenerate and run for 10-15 minutes and the achievement is yours
