How to unlock the Wired for War achievement in State of Decay - Definitive Guide
You start the game off with an ability called "Drone Strike," which can be accessed by pressing down on the D pad. You will need 60 influence to "buy" it. Influenced can be earned in a number of ways, such as by doing missions, turning in rucksacks, or putting items into you supply locker.
When you activate drone strike, you are given a drone strike marker. The marker can be thrown by using left and right on the d-pad to highlight the item (as seen in the lower left corner near the map), then pressing RB. The marker will attract nearby zombies, which will then be blown up by the missile.
You do not have to immediately use the drone strike marker, and it can actually be stored in your supply locker until you feel the need to use it. It's a good idea to stock up on these markers in the first few missions because...
*Minor spoilers*
Not too far into the story, you will lose the ability to call in drone strikes, along with your other abilities. They can be re-obtained by creating outposts where drone trailers are. There are only two, and you will need both of them. One is at the northernmost part of the map. The other is to the very east, in the area you enter from the ramp on the highway. It is in the northeast of that area. You need both because having one only allows you to call in the recon drone.
You'll want to maximize the number of zombies you kill per marker, so it's best to target hordes and infestations, or use them during sieges.

Is this for 100 kills in one game, or does it accumulate over all your Lifeline games? I'm guessing it's over all games, because the achievement "Under Siege" specifically says "in a single playthrough" and this one doesn't.

It’s very easy to do at the beginning of the game, there is a weapons store opposite the base, we climb onto the roof and look around until we find a large crowd of zombies behind the fence. We throw a beacon there (a smoke one, given after ordering a drone from a magazine, if there is space in your inventory), the zombies run towards the smoke and explode (about 15-20 at a time). Zombies there endlessly respawn and cannot reach you.
