How to unlock the Everywhere You Look achievement in State of Decay: Year-One - Definitive Guide

If you are having trouble with this, you are probably early in the game. Playing through the story (not-Breakdown nor Lifeline) will most likely net you the achievement. However if you are having trouble, here's the lowdown:

As you play the game, certain story missions will force new community members into your group. If you have managed to keep most of your people alive, then you should already be close to fifteen members (around 11). To get more people you must do missions for other enclaves. Enclaves are represented with little castle icons on the map, and are usually made up of 3 people. On the map above the enclave's icon you can see a trust meter. Fill this meter by doing missions for that enclave (Trading, infestations, freak hunts, besieged, scavenger), and once the meter is filled you will eventually receive a "Friendly Survivor" mission from them. Once that happens you can head over to their enclave, grab em, and take em home. Just do this until you got 15.

Notes:
-Some enclaves in the story are story-related, and thus cannot merge into your community (The Courthouse, The Grange, The Wilkersons).

-Placing items into the enclave's supply locker will not build trust with them.

Edit:
-If you play through the story, you will encounter certain missions that net you new survivors.
You can expect a net 4-5 survivors joining your group via story script.

@Adanedar I imagine so man, so if you're going for the breakdown achievements, I'd say go for it.

@JohnnyKoi no it is not missable. You can really only "miss" it is if you are playing the main campaign and you finish the last mission without getting the achievement, which is actually harder to do than just acquiring the needed survivors

I mean it's probably totally missable if a lot of people die.

Only had one person die for the molotov achievement, still couldn't get the bigger home locations. Totally possible to beat the game and miss this, even did a lot of the annoying side quest stuff, never got more than 2/3 trust with any community.

Warning!
I regularly killed off jabroni survivors who caused trouble or were total sandbags, to keep costs down and babysitting to a minimum. I reached the final mission with 9 dudes, and a ton of influence. Little did I know that the radio ability would only produce free agents 1/5 times.

"Luckily" I had bad rng with the supply drops, only getting 1/5 on my playthrough, and so I had those two achievements to work towards on the 2nd go.

I was unable to get this in the main game, despite doing many side quests, I did find it SUBSTANTIALLY easier to get this in Breakdown.

The whole idea of Breakdown is to build a huge community, which is doable in just a few hours. After 2 hours of playing, I ended up at about 20 people in my community, even after losing 2.

Complete all Zed Hunts, Rescues, Escorts, etc, and you'll quickly have PLENTY of survivors.

On top of the other survivors you can recruit, you can recruit Heros, which are special survivors that have above average stats. Here's a link to all Heros and how to unlock them. You should rescue them ASAP, as only 2 "Escort" missions can be active at a time.
