I know no-one except me is going to do this, but I went to the mission area, picked up some materials, and went to drop them back off at my base. Just as I arrived I got the 'return to mission area' prompt, but was a few steps from the supply case. Walked up to it, this mission failed, and the Doctor died, thus missing this achievement.
Not the end of the world, but just a tldr, don't ever risk going back to base, like an idiot as me, during these missions haha.
