Ferals aren't that hard you kill, you can just run them over with your car but I had some trouble finding them.
I found that the quickest way was to go up to a Survey point and look around you will find a few special zombies by looking around, you may not find any ferals but if you do it will appear on your map as a little red dot, I just kept travelling between survey points until I had killed 5.

yup, 2/5 of mine were found surveying the area. 2 more were at the side of the road when I was driving by. The last one was found on a ZED HUNT for a feral. I also killed another with fire but it didn't count. (running them over, or meleeing them to death did count)
