After getting the Hyper Cell from the Hall of Records during the “Scavenger Adam” main quest, you’ll come across the Corrupter as you head to the next mission objective.

The Corrupter can be a pretty punishing boss fight, in truth, especially if you get hit by its long-range projectile attacks and acid baths, but with a bit of perseverance, you’ll have this one nailed in no time whatsoever.

The key to beating the Corrupter is to get up close and personal. As soon as the fight starts, lock-on and charge it, strafing to the side to avoid the spherical acid attack. Usually you can get 3 or 4 hits in before he recovers from that first attack. The key to this fight is blocking the triple melee attack it does - if you can Perfect Parry them, even better, but the staggered and uneven timing of the attacks makes it tricky, especially early on.

Hopefully at this point you already have Blink (and upgraded Blink, making it easier to pull off), so when it does its blue glowing attack you can get behind him and follow up with more hits. When it gets on its two hind legs, that’s time to back out and give it space, as it’ll spit acid up in the air, damaging anyone around it. As soon as it's stopped, head back in - hopefully before it starts dealing out projectile attacks. If it charges, wait until the last second and dodge out of the way - this will stun it if it hits the side of the arena, leaving it open for more attacks.

There’s no change in phases for this one, so stick to the above and eventually you’ll be able to hit and call an end to the boss fight, thus, unlocking the ‘Corrupter’ trophy.
