In order to get the “Return to the Colony” ending, you first need to have visited Eidos 9 before heading to Spire 4 in the main mission, “Eye of the Hurricane.” The “Secret Garden” main quest on Eidos 9 is an automatic main quest, provided you’ve done a sufficient amount of side quests and got a good amount of collectibles along the way. If you went to Eidos 9, great! You can do this ending.

The next part of getting this ending is getting into the heart of the nest, and when given a choice by Adam, you need to reject his proposal and choose “Do not take Adam’s hand.”

Doing so will throw you into a fight with the Elder Naytiba. Defeat it, and the ‘Return to the Colony’ trophy and ending will unlock.
