How to unlock the Back in Bismuth achievement in Steven Universe: Save the Light - Definitive Guide

Most colors are easy to find by going to a certain biome. I suggest farming yellows/violets every hour from the moment they are available.

Green - Forest levels (Waterfall level has green/blue/violet. Hidden grove has 2 green chroma crystals, that give 2 each, and one of them has a yellow beside it).
Red/Orange - Bismuths Forge levels (there is also one in the strawberry battlefield secret area by the treasure chest you have to walk on a small ledge to reach. This small ledge runs back behind the healing fountain but can't be reached there. It is the easiest way to avoid the mob on the way there from the teleport pad so likely you will use this path if you are farming other colors.)
Blue/Indigo - The Great North levels (secret level has indigo and blue right at the teleporter pad. Then exit the level, via going down as far as you can and you can quickly find 3 more blues and another indigo at the end of that level).

Now the other 2 should be farmed through out the game to save back tracking. Hopefully you are reading this in advance. The best places to farm are

Yellow - 2 at the barn, just go left to exit the barn and you also get a green (I think). 2 at Strawberry battlefield secret stage. Take a right at the healing fountain. Strawberry battlefield temple crater go to where you found the "Cool Sword" for the quest and you can get a yellow (this is right and downward until you can take a sharp left). The best place may be Strawberry battlefield ruined ruins, go left until you find a mage, go down until you find a gap in the walls, take a right after the gap and grab the yellow + 2 violets.

Violet -
At Bismuths forge, the actual forge, to the right of it's entrance where you went to get the collectible light dude. The best place may be Strawberry battlefield ruined ruins, go left until you find a mage, go down until you find a gap in the walls, take a right after the gap and grab the yellow + 2 violets.

Pop in on those two every time you clear a level and you are bound to have enough to save a lot of time at end game. That and proper tracking of team attacks could save you a lot of time as well.

Farming - These aren't easy to get to reset but the best way, if farming at end game, is to kill 5 to 10 groups of enemies that are low level. Such as the enemies at beach city. You can also just save the game, close the game and come back in 1 hour. The game will have reset by then so you can beat a ratalaika or two while farming without having to wait.

Each weapon, for each party member, has two upgrades that can be found throughout the world you can traverse. The Chroma that is required for each upgrade can be a bit of a pain. Thankfully, the trophy is a bit sloppy in tracking (?) as it unlocked for me without having all of the upgrades (I had two left).

Chroma can be found as low drops from the light creatures, but the real location to get them would be from the Chroma Crystal formations scattered throughout the areas. They can drop anywhere from one to three and they do not have a set amount that they generally drop (it is just more often they restrict themselves to one or two). The crystals respawn every real-world hour (meaning if you exhaust all of a specific color, you can always save and exit, returning at a later time to farm more.

That being said, there are 14 weapon upgrades (Weapon Schematic 1 and 2 for each weapon type) and you shall be swimming in Chroma for some colors while hardly having any for others (like Yellow and Violet).

Bismuth's Forge is unlocked after completing the Forest area of the game. You will come here as part of the story and can return whenever you want. To upgrade a weapon, you will need both the schematic (which are found in chests and other hidden areas - you'll find them all when working toward 100% completion) as well as "Chroma" which is the resource required to actually perform the upgrade. You'll need a number of these from various colors, which are obtained sometimes from defeating enemies but mostly from colored crystals that you can break with Connie or Pearl's overworld abilities (these respawn after one real world hour and you can play offline and change your time to respawn them if needed).

Once you unlock the appropriate schematic and Chroma, return to the forge to upgrade a weapon. There are two upgrades for each character, and all the schematics will come on your way to 100% completion. See "Perfect Porkchop" for exploration tips.
