How to unlock the Epic Saga achievement in Stormrise - Definitive Guide

WARNING: (I think this is the bug) If you start to play the campaign on hard then play a skirmish map, it will set your difficulty in the campaign to whatever the difficulty you used in the skirmish map. To prevent this, you can go to mission select and choose the last mission you were on and choose the hard difficulty setting.

Comments, recommendations, tips and suggestions on how to beat each mission are under each individual mission achievements.

This does not unlock the achievement for beating the campaign on easy or medium. You can do these achievements in any order. I beat it on hard first for the thrill and challenge of it then went back and beat it on easy.

NOTE: I got this on my first try. I played only single player until mission 11. Then I played some multiplayer and all of the skirmish maps on easy. When I loaded up the 11th mission, I noticed that I started with a lot more money so I exited to the main menu (without saving). Then I went to mission select and chose mission 11 on hard and beat the last 2 levels.

I don't have the game, so what does it mean by "buggy" in the achievement tags. Also, since it does not unlock the achievement for beating the campaign on easy or medium, does that mean you must do it on easy or medium first, otherwise it won't unlock? Or can you do it on hard first, then play on easy after and get the achievement?

EPIC SAGA

To beat this game on hard is a challenge, not very hard since you can save anytime you want. The missions are Generally short so this makes this less difficult.

Some general tips I found while playing the game:
1) While on a unit hit LB on another unit to make them into a group.
2) Hero's Regenerate but use them wisely, if you lose any main characters you lose.
3) While building units where your marker is aiming is where your units will go that are being built.
4) Make sure to capture all control points leading to the end of a map, if you skip any you will not get resources from the bases you get.
5) If you get a base, everytime you build turrets or Shields you will lose a small amount from what you make overall.
6) The missions are usually really short, so don't spend too much time massing an army when it is not necessary.
7) Save about everytime you attack with your Hero's or capture a base this will be very useful.

If anyone has anymore tips that I was missing let me know, if I get anymore I will add them to the list.

The weakest unit should make up most of your army. The exceptions to that are: Matriarchs, Stalkers, and Hunters. Those units you should build on almost every map you can.

Very important about playing on Hard. If you stop playing on hard and then play Skirmish or MP the difficulty can get reset to a different difficulty. I found out this the hard way and had to redo 10 chapters til I got the achievement. It's best to do this til it's done and not switch to the other game modes.
I made videos for each mission on hard. I hope it helps.

You don't have to actually play the whole campaign on Hard mode to unlock this trophy. Once you have finished the game on Easy or Normal, you can choose the last level on any difficulty from the Chapter Select menu. All you have to do is choose mission 12 on hard and finish it. Hard mode isn't that different from Normal or Easy from what I noticed, except you start with less teleporter energy (which is used to buy troops).

This game is extremely hard on Hard difficulty. Take the game slowly, learn the game's more advanced mechanics, and analyse missions so you can develop strategies that will work on that mission. Complete the game on Easy first, then move on to Hard. The difficulty achievements do not stack.

Thanks to Jackanape for the following tips:

- When you take over a control node, be sure to consolidate it before you move on - so jump to it and build up the defenses, etc. to the maximum level. Also, leave a few units to help guard it too.

- Always group your units together. You can only put three in a team but it helps a lot. To do this highlight a unit and press LB, then it will show all the units you can join with so move to them (while still holding LB) and press A. Your guys will them be grouped which gives you better control over them and concentrated firepower.

- Be aware that you won't be able to see your guys shoot while they're moving (as they are dumb) so always move them in front of enemies rather than clicking on the enemies themselves. This way they will start attacking much sooner.

- Best guys early on are the infiltrators (aka snipers) as they have super long range and can often kill foes without them even shooting back if you get the positioning right.

Refer to THIS THREAD for video walkthroughs of every mission.
