I have some good news.
First off, unless you are using a cheat engine (which will get you banned) like some people are doing for this game, you will need to craft one of EVERYTHING in this game.
The good news is, the description seems to maybe be wrong. I absoutlty did not craft everything on one island. And it popped no problem, the second I craft my last item.
The other good news is the crafting menu on this version will now have a checkmark for every item that you have crafted so you know you have crafted it.
Edit: More good news, seems you can do this in creative mode. "but do not craft on them as achievements can’t be unlocked on custom islands. Just sail to another island to craft." (Credit: Mario04253101

(edit 2: very important update if this is not unlocking for your. thank you to Mortitome for figuring this out. You must also build a "pile." This can be with a number of items, the drinkable or empty coconuts or rope things. Have 2 or more in your inventory, and open up the quick the craft menu. If its stackable it, it will give you the option to make a pile, you need to do this 100 times anyway for another achievement)

First off I would TRY to craft everything you can on one island, but it seems like you may not have to all.
Here are some things I 100% did NOT craft on my last megabase island.

The boss trophies. I actually dropped one in the ocean by accident and it was gone forever.
I crafted one of the aircraft parts on the aircraft carrier island
Most boat parts where crafted on different islands and I did not need to craft them again for this achievement to pop.

Everything else, just to be safe, I crafted on one island, but it may not matter. All consumables, all tools, all building pieces

Just to reiterate, you must craft EVERYTHING in the crafting menu, all pages, all tabs, this includes boss trophies, airplane parts, buildings, Vehicles, farming, consumables and the main craftables like tools.

Nothing is too hard to find, but you will need a TON of clay, so if you see it, mine it, and keep it.
You will also need a TON of Corrugated Scrap. When I had 2 full boxes I thought I had enough and left so much behind as I was playing. You will need even more. Hoard it.

I did this in survival, I have no idea if this works in other modes. If someone else can confirm I will update the solution.

I did this in creative and used custom islands. You can use custom islands to gather the materials but do not craft on them as achievements can’t be unlocked on custom islands. Just sail to another island to craft. Also you definitely don’t need everything to be on one island. I used 3-4 to make all my items.

Even in non creative you can use custom islands. I played this game largely in coop with a friend on normal difficulty, but had a single player game that I just let run for the 100 days.

After finishing coop, I wanted to see if I could use the cartographer to cheese the remaining ones on the coop save, and I could. Just made a custom island with heaps of resources and put it one over from my home base island.

Anyone else having an issue getting this one? I've crafted everything on one island including all raft materials, building materials, trophies, airplane parts, gyrocopter, etc. I made sure to build nothing on the custom islands but after building my last item and double-checking that I had all checkmarks on all items in all tabs/sub-tabs it still didn't pop.

Edit: I also made sure to never craft from the quick-craft menu. I did it on my starting island don't know if that also breaks it.

Update(Jan 10, 2023 8:32pm): I've now met the requirements for this 3 times and still haven't gotten it. The first two times I built everything on the starting island including trophies and toolbelts. On the 3rd attempt I continued from my save I'm going for 100 Days on and re-did this on an island that wasn't my starting island. I built everything(including duplicates of components[crude axe for refined axe] so I would have literally 1 of everything) on this island except for the trophies and toolbelt since those cannot be made more than once per save(aircraft parts can though). So either my game is bugged or you cannot do this on your starting island and have to build everything including trophies and toolbelts on an island other than your starting island. And nothing on the 2nd or 3rd attempt was built using the quick craft menu as I saw people complaining about that bugging out the boss trophy achievement.

people had issues with this one popping on the console version. I am not sure if the problem was ever pinpointed.

Update to my update. Achievement unlocked after building my first pile...so much time wasted. So if you're seeing this and haven't gone for the "This Sparks Joy" achievement, make sure to build a pile.

You just need to kill the bosses, that's it.
Once you do, go into your crafting menu, and then you can caft the trophy.
Just don't drop it into the ocean like I did... It won't ruin the achievement, but you can't the trophy back and hang on a wall or something like that.

I cant get the achievement, I made sure I crafted everything on the same island (and piles, obviously) and it's not unlocking... Is that because it is marked as discontinued on xbox?

Edit: nevermind. As I didnt saved I got back to a previous state and crafted the remaining things again, it popped normally

I did my piles first lol. Also, you DON'T need to fully build each building piece; simply create and destroy immediately as it saves a ton of time breaking stuff down. Some items are fully made e.g. doors and these take longer to break. As long as you get the tick your good to go.
I didn't want the airplane parts and boss trophies in my inventory after the achievement popped so I made a save (lets call it ROLLBACK SAVE) before creating these items, but that choice is down to you.
IMPORTANT GLITCH WARNING: The building part BRICK ROOF CORNER.
When making this item, it could NOT be destroyed but instead dropped duplicate bricks. I've read this has happened to others. Not wanting to glitch my game (although I really wanted the bricks lol) - I also used the ROLLBACK SAVE ABOVE ^^^^ BEFORE creating this item and rolled back once the achievement popped.
This glitch could be replicated even after I relogged, etc. You might wanna try this on a Test World to see if the glitch affects your game....

Built everything, including all pile types, and nothing. Guess I'll try going through the full list again...Do I need to have one of everything placed down at once?

I used the starting tutorial island as my main base, hope that doesn't affect this. I also accidentally quick crafted a tool belt piece. That'd be really stupid if that doesn't count for some reason.

Oh wait....I'm dumb, I've not built then Gyrocopter yet, lmao. Oops. OK, crafted the Gyrocopter and it popped just fine. Then I reloaded my save to make sure I never accidentally get in the Gyrocopter and use its compass.
