How to unlock the Seafarer achievement in Stranded Deep - Definitive Guide

This achievement, despite its picture, its description, or even its name has absolutely NOTHING to do with sleeping. Even the "myxer" solution has nothing to do with sleeping. You don't need a sleeping bag, you dont need a raft, you dont need a camp. On day 108 I got tired of sleeping on my raft over and over again and upon reading the "myxer" solution it got my wheels spinning. They changed the day and night cycle eh? I thought, well it says "dont sleep on land"...so I literally just didnt sleep...on my boat, on land, anywhere. Its a huge pain to not be able to run for 8 days but in the end, on your 9th day, at the stroke of midnight it will pop. The "myxer" solution only works because they are basically fast forwarding you several days in a short period and you arent sleeping. If you try sleeping during that fast forwarding it will still fail. I'm glad i figured it out because the frustration was real after trying this for probably 80+ nights of raft lounging.

I hope this helps.

Not sure why so many others seemed to struggle with this achievement…

I’m playing on Xbox (not sure if PC or PS have different requirements but anyway)

What I personally did, after deciding to do the achievement, was simply this:
The day I decided to start this achievement I hadn’t slept out to sea at all except ONCE when I was fighting a boss (who was NOWHERE near my home island) so practically hadn’t ever slept out to sea.
Anyway, on day one I just simply fiddled around on my island waiting for the sun to go down, when it did at 18:00 I set sail only 50ft from my island (but still far enough that there was no land or coral reef under my raft) and slept on my sleeping bag. As soon as I woke up I returned to my home island and went about my daily tasks. Upon sunset I repeated the same thing; sailed only far enough from home that I didn’t have any visible land underneath my raft, and slept on my sleeping bag.
I repeated this routine for only 8 days and somehow the achievement popped.
I have to say, this is way easier than it sounds. You literally just have to be far enough from any island that you don’t see sand or land under your raft. It’s not far at all, and you can return to land as often as you want, you just can’t sleep there. (Yes, you can still save on land at a shelter or such, just simply no sleeping)

Hope this helps someone! I accomplished this fairly easily, so don’t get stressed by the requirements. (Also it may be bugged because as I said before, I unlocked it after only 8 days sleeping offshore. So it’s either bugged or I’m lucky!)
Good luck to others :)

I got the achievement from sleeping on my sleeping bag on wooden foundation. I never slept on a raft and I usually went to sleep when my character was tired. I think when got the achievement I stayed up with no stamina to smoke some meats. For some reason maybe sleeping bag on a wooden foundation makes the game think you aren't on land?

I just slept on my raft in the sleeping bag, not a very hard achievement really. This solution kinda just rambles about something most of us don't know about.

To unlock this achievement, you must go without sleeping on land for 10 consecutive nights. Despite what another solution says, you can sleep on a raft in the water. To do this, you will need a sleeping bag. The raft has to be far enough from an island that you're in deep water. Anchoring a few feet off the beach doesn't do any good. I recommend using the life raft, because you can deploy the sea anchor and know right then and there whether you're in deep water. (The sea anchor won't deploy in shallow water.) The sleeping bag is crowded on the life raft, but it works for the purpose you need it to. When you're done sleeping, you can pack it in the storage compartment.

You can also get from using a sleeping bag on a ship above the water, for myself I used the top deck of a cargo ship.

You can only sleep on a raft (you will need a sleeping bag) and only where there is great depth and the bottom is not visible. Or don’t sleep at all for 10 days in a row, but the character will move slowly.
