At some point in the labyrinth early on, a giant floating pot will show up in the hub area. It's a random spawn. You have lower chances on earlier floors. Summoning the Malboro or playing past floor 30 will increase your chances.

Ive had it well before 22 playing extra mode without any summons and the Marlboro was my first summon with a greater stone before floor 22.

Removed my comment as he does show up prior, as he did for me as well on my second go through. Also the Marlboro in your Lab not only increases the % for it to show up but makes it per rift not floor.
