How to unlock the Job Master achievement in STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN PS4 & PS5 - Definitive Guide

Upon completion of the story and unlocking chaos difficulty, you will start acquiring Anima Crystals which can be used either for XP, or unlocking and upgrading the difficulty level of chaos difficulty missions, ranging from level 140 to level 300, the cost of which starts at 1 crystal, then gets exponentially higher the further you go.

As a first time reward completion for these missions you will get more Anima Crystals, and for some missions a "Limit Raise" for a select class.

To unlock this achievement you must complete the corresponding 3 missions to the class you would like to get to 4*, the easiest ones tend to be the basic job roles, like Swordfighter, Marauder etc. Once this is done, you must then grind XP to get the job to level 99 on which the achievement will pop.

This process can be sped up towards the end using acquired anima shards and crystals throughout the game, if you haven't already done so.

Personally Sage is best class to do this as. Bring Sophia as a sage as well. When you start the Coral memories greedy mission just cast shell and sprint past everything. There are like 4 guaranteed purple orb items and the trident can spawn at any chest. Use the anima crystals to unlock all the missions up till 300 (requires a few replays of the mission). Figure out which class you want to take up to 99 and find the blue main story missions on the map and select the select mission level option. Scroll through each mission, which goes up to 300, and find the limit release for the class you want. Usually it’s in 2-3 different locations. You do not have to do each mission individually, try to save crystals to unlock the furthest difficulty into a level you need to go. For example if you wanted all the sage limit releases in ruin of machines main story mission you need to unlock the level 230 mission. Upon completion you will get the reward for the level 230 as well as all the previous lower rewards so no need to do the story mission 6 different times. When you finish collecting the limit release for the class you want to max. Keep farming the level 300 coral memory we started with. Once you get the pattern down even if you have to loot every chest in the map it shouldn’t take longer than 2-3 mins a run. Just use the crystals after you finish the mission to level your class and it shouldn’t take long at all. Mastery rewards in job affinity can help as well.

Any recommendations for which job to pursue for this? I got the first two limit raises for Swordsman, but the Great Malboro is kicking my ass for the third.

This link is easy to follow for finding where upgrades are.

Even at level 290, the 190 missions can be pretty tough.

It’s not the same for all classes, but it does look like XP totals needed to reach level caps are the same with each tier of jobs. For Beginner jobs, you reach level 30 (initial cap) at 125970, and level 99 (max) at 3390970. Assuming you don’t have any Anima Shards saved when you raise your job limits, you’ll need 327 Anima Crystals to reach level 99.

I had something like 470 shards saved up, though, and that got me from 30 to 76, making the crystal grind more bearable.

Any tips on which jobs/missions are easiest? These fights are worse than Elden Ring.

This is the worst achievement in this crap game. I’m doing the lvl 170 chaos shrine and the boss kills me in 2 hits. I got gear level 297-299 which useless.

Ccliffy90 you need to level up any class to 99. Switch difficulty to chaos and look for mission that rewards limit break. You need to do 3 missions to max out class. For example I went with swordsmanship for this I had to to beat chaos shrine on chaos difficulty at level 130 and again at level 170 I then had to beat wicket arbour at level 170 to increase my class level to 99. If you look in the comments above fuzzmeister j has link that shows you want level you need for each class.

Yeah I understand what you have to do I’m just saying to beat the bosses to unlock the ability to upgrade the class is insane. I went swordsmanship aswell beating that Marlboro level 170 was ridiculous, I’ve done it now To do it I had to grid “the greedy” to get enough crystals for level 300 and then ran it level 300 about 3 times to get level 296 equipment and then beat him just by luck

To add to WackFiend's comment:
An easy way to grind Anima Crystals, for me, was to grind the "Coral Memories: The Greedy" side mission (Cavern of Earth Area). You just have to "Acquire Trident. It's the mission where you have to find the trident via opening the chests in the area (There's only 5) and it rewards 13 Crystals upon completion at Lv 300. If you don't want to fight every enemy, it's pretty easy to sprint past them. I would say my average time is 30s-5 minutes per run (quicker if the first box I tend to hit has it)

Side Note: This level is also an easy way to get the Cycle of Darkness cheevo if you haven't already and want an easy way to do it w/o fighting

I Personally went Marauder and speedran the levels in question to the bosses at the end. My strategy was to set my team upon the boss and then use a mage class to cast spells, and breaker to fire back. Think the hardest level i had to do was 190, and i had level 205 gear

Have I missed something here or doing something wrong, I’ve completed the game got all achievements apart from this one and all achievements achievement, I’ve got level 250 equipment with my level 30 knight class and I’m trying to beat a chaos level 170 boss and I survive about 10 seconds and get killed in one hit.

I don’t like this game but it’s gone from a quite pleasant experience with a shit game to the hardest game I’ve ever played in my life, surely I’m missing something cause it just makes no sense - I know it’s suppose to be hard but …… really ?

Just an addition to the first guide, if you dont know where to farm all the crystals you want.
Here is short wideo I captured

If you just finished story each run will take a minute more. Just equip mage class and spam fire spell, all you need is MP recovery while casting, unlock all lvls till you get 300 version.
Open the chest right b4 the doors for more loot ;], rinse and repeat.

After finishing the game, you will unlock the Chaos Difficulty. Some story stages gives a limit break for your classes. You need to break the limit to 99 and reach it.

This trophy is unlocked once you reach Level 99 with any job. In order to do this you must first gain access to Chaos Difficulty by beating the game once. After, you will notice that all missions now have several levels you can play on. Some of those levels may also have Job Level Increases as a reward. Every job has 3 Level increases which will increase the Job Level Cap to 55, 75, and 99 in that order. In order to earn this trophy, you will need to obtain all 3 Job Level Increases for a job then obtain enough experience to reach Level 99. This is easily done by grinding for Anima Crystals using the method below.

Anima Crystal Grinding: To start, you are going to need access to the Side Mission "Coral Memories: The Greedy", which is located in the Cavern of Earth. This mission can be completed easily and quickly because there are only 5 treasure chests which means only 5 possible locations to find the Trident needed to complete the mission. They are all in close proximity and even if you die, any treasure chests you opened will stay open. Simply run past all the enemies and open each chest until you find the Trident and complete the mission. Once you do this, unlock higher levels of this same mission so that you can be rewarded with more Anima Crystals. Eventually, you should unlock level 300 which will reward you with 13 Anima Crystals per run. It should take roughly 300 - 500 crystals to reach level 99 with a job if leveling it from scratch. Of course, you will also use these crystals to first unlock the missions & levels containing the Job Level Cap increases for the job of your choice.

To get this trophy you need to increase the level of the profession to level 99, but to achieve this opportunity you must first complete the game, then go to the Chaos difficulty level, there you will find 3 Limit Release for any profession that interests you. Limit Releases are found in almost every level, in some you can even get 2 LR, although you will have to work hard for this.

I would like to add that limit releases are at different difficulty levels in missions. That is, if you want to immediately get 2 limit releases from the first level for Swordsman, you need to increase its level to 170. Then you will receive all available prizes from all previous difficulty levels.

If you have the Season Pass, completing the first mission of the first expansion, "Light of Possibility", unlocks the Bahamut difficulty. By playing on it with trials enabled, you receive special points (the more trials are enabled, the more points you get), which can be exchanged in the new store. For each profession, you can buy two Limit Releases in this store, which cost only 50 points.
