A staff is not given to you automatically when you download the dlc. Instead the staves are added into the weapon pool and will randomly drop from enemies. It is up to RNG on how quickly you will find a staff.
Simply go about fighting enemies as you normally would and a staff will drop. Once a staff drops for you you also unlock the Pilgrim job.

This DLC adds, also, new weapons called Staffs.
They can only be wielded by specific jobs, like any other weapons. You should receive plenty of staffs from completing the new missions.
Simply chose a job that can be able to use staffs and equip one to get this trophy.
