Very easy play the first new mission in the DLC, there are plenty of enemies and you should eventually get a gun dropped.

I actually got this without the dlc somehow, I had the tutorial after my first chaos mission and then the job was available, also meant I got the 2 other job upgrade achievements too

I got both a Staff and Gun in the very first mission of the base game, so it seems like some of the new DLC Jobs/Weapons start appearing at the game's very start.

I actually got this without the DLC somehow, I had the tutorial for guns after clearing my first chaos mission (I literally did the first level again on the first chaos upgraded level) and then the job was available, also meant I got the other job upgrade achievements too, seems like for some reason guns can drop as a reward on chaos mode even without having season pass/Different Future DLC

The last DLC, DIFFERENT FUTURE, finally adds one last set of weapons: the guns. 

You will find tons of them during your journey in the rift and during Bahamut's quests, so simply equip one.
