If you aren't overly interested in this content, one approach is to take advantage of the mostly generous community this game has and search for high level multiplayer rooms.
I would say in most cases, if I joined any room level 50-100, the host would likely be very OP and will be effortlessly grinding & carrying the group. If you stick around for 4-5 rifts, you will also accumulate a good bit of materials needed.
If the host ends the session, you can load back up in with the Multiplayer data retaining your materials and also their summoned monsters.
I was able to load in, swap monsters to Cactuar/Tonberry, and had all of the necessary items to complete the quest line and did NOT have to complete any additional rifts. You save and reload into the Hall to further the conversations.
Other things to do:
-Check if the magic pot is around for Elixir Please!
-Chat with Gilgamesh who may unlock "Extradimensional Gift" without having to fight
-Deep Delver may unlock if the host completes any one floor above 30
-Interdimensional Rift may unlock as the Death Machine may appear in rifts they are farming.
-Lastly, farming the 12 relics is very efficient this way too. You will likely get 2-3 per rift. If you are able to stick around while they farm you can get quite a bit of these in an hour or 2.
Most importantly, it will fast track your build, get your limit releases quicker, and just be generally very helpful. Then once you become OP yourself, return the favor!
