How to unlock the Mind Over Matter achievement in Stray Blade - Definitive Guide
You can fight Knox at any time during the dlc by running south up the Xhinnon ramp and following the path around to the hole in the floor to drop down into his room.
At first you will want to get rid of the three beasts he has fighting alongside him as these bastards will constantly knock you down if ignored. Once they are dead, watch out for Knox's attacks. He has a few moves that cannot be parried. He will shoot a projectile from his staff that must be dodged, usually followed up by a running downward slash that can be parried, followed up by a jump backwards for another projectile.
Knox will also shoot three projectiles in a row that must be dodged if you are far away from him. He will throw a Xhinnon bomb that freezes you in place while he lines up a shot at you. If it wears off before he shoots, dodge out of the way. If you do manage to parry one of his strikes, he will almost immediately jump away while simultaneously shooting some bullshit at you, really hampering the time you get to attack. If you manage to get a swing in right after his last shot of three, he will kick you back like a bastard that he is. Lastly, at 50% health he will revive his beasts to come ruin your day again.
