How to unlock the Steely Determination achievement in Street Fighter 6 - Definitive Guide

Hey fellow achievement hunters just a quick PSA about this achievement:

As of 01/08/2023 the tournaments in game are disabled (for the 2nd time), this is due to the fact that when tournaments have started running they are destabilizing the net code for the entirety of SF6 multiplayer. So until Capcom find a fix for this or change the requirements for the achievement this won't obtainable very quickly.

As for when they are fixed Capcom haven't been very clear when they will be reenabled but keep an eye on the in game news feed and make sure to check the tournament hub after each update!

Sign up for one, cancelling and then signing up for another one doesn't seem to add to the five needed. Appears you have to complete the tournament, win or lose, for it to count. Capcom could have given us some tracking on this achievement list..

You need to attend the tournament. Just signing in doesn't do anything. You need to be at the right server at the time the tournament starts. Once to hits the time, you will be automatically thrown into the first fight. This is the moment when it will count. For me, It unlocked the other achievement for attending 1 tournament at this moment. Of course you have to got through with it and can't back out anymore. You also can't sign in again if you lost. I tried it, believe me (just to get the achievements, I don't care about winning. I'm not even very good, so I wouldn't win anyway^^)

As stated before, you actually have to complete 5 tournaments, not just enter and no show. You will have to fight the actual matches and win or lose. In the tournament menu, you'll see your tournament history so basically how many you have entered and completed.

For the tournament entries to count, you must not only enter but actually complete a match. If for some reason you get disconnected or fail to get to the proper server by the start of the tournament you'll forfeit and miss out on that one. You can sign up for tournaments. either in the hub itself, or before being selected by the server. It is not necessary to win, you need to take part and play the battle. Simple registration does not count.
