The fast method for boosting:
Create a player match with the following settings: 1 round, private slot on, handicap on. The other settings don't matter. Invite your boosting partner to the match. Select a character and the color settings. The fastest method is to just go with the character the cursor starts on, Abel and Ryu. You will then turn the handicap screen all the way down. All 4 stars should be black, not gold. Start your match. One hit wins the match! Rinse and repeat. This method is the fastest way to get all of the following achievements:

Play 200 online battles, ranked or player match, win or lose. Personally I would say that take your time and enjoy each match and don't concentrate too hard just on winning, have a good time and play with characters you aren't all that great with. The best way to learn a new character is just to use them against other real life people, also people tend to get sick of fighting Ryu/Ken/Akuma constantly :P
