The fast method for boosting:
Create a player match with the following settings: 1 round, private slot on, handicap on. The other settings don't matter. Invite your boosting partner to the match. Select a character and the color settings. The fastest method is to just go with the character the cursor starts on, Abel and Ryu. You will then turn the handicap screen all the way down. All 4 stars should be black, not gold. Start your match. One hit wins the match! Rinse and repeat. This method is the fastest way to get all of the following achievements:

500 matches if they take 1 min each will be 500 min. or 8.3 hours still a while but its worth it for 150 gamerscore

To boost this achievement the easiest way is to host a player match and have handicap set to 0 so you can kill each other with 1 hit.
However, i recommend you boost the "Sunny Daze" achievement (Perform 365 Ultra Finishes/Flashy Backgrounds) along with this achievement. That is also a very time consuming achievement and it is a good idea to gain it as you go along with the boosting of 500 matches. You can kill each other within 20 seconds by boosting your ultra combo finishes anyway.
It took me and a friend approximately 5Hours boosting our Ultra Combos/Sunny Daze. If you were to just boost the matches with handicap i imagine it would about 2 1/2 Hrs in total.

After you have completed all other online achievements go for this one. Simply start up arcade with the option to allow players to join when requested. This happens very regularly, set the matches to 1 round/30 secs in the main menu. Doing this should get you 1 match/minute. It is easy to watch a movie on your laptop while doing since you don't really need to fight.

For this achievement, you need to play 500 battles, regardless of whether you win or lose. You can check your progress for this achievement from the main menu by selecting Player Data, and then Player Record.

You don't have to boost to get the trophies for this, but it'll make it go by quicker to get this trophy, along with the 100 and 200 online battles ones. Use this thread to find an online partner to boost with.
