How to unlock the Maelstrom Of Combos achievement in STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN - Definitive Guide

Street Fighter X TekkenMaelstrom Of CombosThe Maelstrom Of Combos achievement in Street Fighter X Tekken worth 32 pointsConnect with 100 Quick Combos.

Introduced as a new system to help out beginners, Street Fighter x Tekken has a new quick combo system where two different preset combos can be easily executed by pushing either:

1. A + RB
2. X + RT

You know you performed a quick combo successfully because your fighter will flash white. You’re able to dish out some good damage easily with these, however, it costs one block of your Cross Meter to use it. The purpose for these were to help players who struggled with inputting combos.

A quick combo is a quick preset combo that every character has attached to them, all of these are catered mostly to beginners. You can view each characters preset quick combos under "Quick Combo" in the Customize menu. Each quick Combo you connect with counts across all modes except Challenge and Training Mode. This will unlock after the match you executed your 100th Quick Combo on. You can boost this achievement in Versus Mode with 2 controllers if needed.

To check your progress for this achievement, go to Player Data at the main menu. Select Player Records and scroll down to see how many "Quick Combos" you have to keep track.

Thanks! :)

An extra note for this. You'll know you performed a quick combo when your fighter lights up whilst performing a preset combo.

Does this need to be online, arcade, or does this also count if you go in training mode ?

It works online and in arcade. Training Mode does not count.

I found these annoying to go for in regular battle, so I rolled them in with my grind for Pandora activations/finishes vs. a second controller. Activating Pandora gives you full meter, more than enough for the one bar required to activate quick combo, and defeating a 0% handicap dummy opponent with quick combo didn't interfere with my Pandora finishes.

Quick combos are executed by clicking the right or left sticks and consume one bar of super meter. An easy means of executing them is to start a local versus match versus either an easy AI or a second controller, giving yourself a 25% handicap and setting the AI to around 50%. At the start of the match, double tap down and press the medium punch and kick buttons to initiate Pandora. This will immediately give you 3 bars to work with, that way you can quickly execute 3 Quick Combos by clicking the stick. If you set the health low enough, you could also beat the opponent before the Pandora runs out netting you 3 quick combos, 1 Pandora used and 1 Pandora finish if done correctly. Repeat the process and you'll have your trophy in no time!

Quick Combos are combos that you can activate with either LP+HK (mapped to 1 by default) or LK+HP (mapped to 2 by default). They cost 1 meter to use. Just connect with them 30 times in Arcade or Network mode for the trophy.

To perform a Quick Combo you must input or at the cost of one bar. A quick combo is a quick preset combo that every character has attached to them, all of these are catered mostly to beginners. You can view each characters preset quick combos under "Quick Combo" in the Customize menu. If you want to grind this out, utilize the handicap option in Versus so you can activate Pandora mode right away. From there you can execute at least 2 quick combos before Pandora runs out.

You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.
