How to unlock the Observer achievement in STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN - Definitive Guide

This is a work-free solution, if you have a spare hour or three, for the Observer achievement.

- From the main menu select Xbox LIVE.
- Select Replay Channel
- Select Elite Channel (this is a constant stream of matches, supposedly showcasing the best of the best. Thus the matches should be faster than watching a few people who don't know how to play...)
- Allow this to run for as long as you prefer to rack up "watched" replays. (50 replays took me just under 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete.) You can turn off the TV, and your controller can shut off without affecting the game.

The 50 does NOT have to be watched in one sitting.

You can check the amount of replays "watched" over time via the Player Data menu> Player Records> Total Records (the very last stat listed.)

I can't think of a quicker way to accomplish this, as you have to watch 50 replays, but I'm open to better methods.

Additional Tip from WeltallAY:

"Just chose one of your own replays and quit as soon as it starts. Takes about 25 mins and is easy to do while multitasking."

Happy hunting!

Just chose one of your own replays and quit as soon as it starts. Takes about 25 mins and is easy to do while multitasking. Won't give a negative since this works but this method takes way too much time for an absurd achievement.

Just start ya own clip(s) and quit out right away (no need to save & quit)... or if you've been boostin' this game lately; ya can watch ya own replays through the CHARACTER CHANNEL.

*NOTE: Haven't tested this or would've made it into a solution.

Do you know if you can watch your own replays? If you can, then a fast way of doing this one is starting up a 1 round fight and letting the other person kill you as fast as they can or you kill them as fast as you can (if boosting with a friend). Then watch that fight in your channel over and over again. That way fights would be lowered to about 10-15 seconds and hopefully under 1 minute per replay (with the the loading inbetween replays).

If you can do that, then it should lower the time from almost 3 hours to at most 50 minutes.

I didn't try this, but you are certainly right. It should work, I might load up another profile and give this one a try.

Yes, it works... but if you are going out it's better turn on the elite channel and left the videogame doing it by itself, since if the controller turn off it doesn't pause the game :D, and you save playing time dedicating it on the other achievements.

You can end replay as soon as it starts, dont need to watch the whole thing. Check the player records for count

This far into the life of the game, the Elite replay channels don't seem to last all that long. I guess there aren't too many people playing and uploading any more. Another option would be to choose the character replay option instead. I picked Ken, presuming that he would be the most played character, and the chain lasted quite a lot longer.

Hot tip: Choose a character you've been boosting with. I chose RYU and got a bunch of my own replays not even running out the 30 seconds we picked and we obviously had only 1 round selected. This is still slower then if you start and end the replay manually, but if the plan is to just leave it running on a channel this works really well.

To get this achievement very quickly, you can watch just one of your replay 50 times and each time you stop it just after the beginning of the fight. It took me about 20 mn ;)

As of July 2014, choose character channel. This throws you onto Ryu by default. Merely a question of continually pressing the A button. Thanks a million to Nihon for his ground-breaking discovery.

The replay channel is accessed through the network, and is dedicated solely to sharing the replays of players from around the world. This is also where you must go to unlock Evangelist Of The "X", that is a different solution all together however. This trophy is for watching replays through the replay channel 50 times (duh), in order to do this you can either download and watch replays or simply go to one of the specific channels. Personally, I had no luck with either the Elite or Character replays, however the new replays loaded up almost instantly.

The nice part about this trophy is that if you go to the new replay section, you can simply press X on a replay, and press it again to stream it rather than download it and watch it later. Another nice thing about this is that you can press start to skip the intros and once the match starts, you can press start to end the replay sending you back to the replay list. These don't have to be unique replays to count towards the trophy, so simply keep loading up the first video and quitting out until you reach 50. If you'd like to stop at some point and check your progress later, you can see how many replays you knocked out in the Player Data section of the main menu.

Go to the Replay channel and choose any channel. Download and watch 3 replays (it can be the same one 3 times if you want) for this.

For this trophy you must watch 50 replays in the Replay Channel. You can view any replay from any option it can even be the same replay from your own collection if you have one, providing you have started the replay it will count towards this trophy. Once you start a replay press and back out and then start back up again, rinse and repeat until your trophy pops up.

You can watch it or not watch it, just start watching and just exit, it will still count.
