How to unlock the An Unknown Power achievement in Street Fighter X Tekken - Definitive Guide

You will need a second controller for this solution.

With your second controller plugged in, go to Versus from the main menu. Choose 7 rounds.

With your main profile, pick any character as your first and Dhalsim as your second. Select 25% or less with both of your characters on Handicap.

With the second controller, pick any characters and choose 0% handicap with the first one.

Now as soon as the fight starts, press Down, Down, MP+MK. Your first character will leave and Dhalsim will enter with Pandora active. Now press Forward + HP. Repeat 499 times :-)

It is even faster if every 2nd round you lose by attacking yourself - that way you will get 7 per match instead of 4 reducing the number of loading screens you have to wait through ^_^

Use the following solution for the 1 controller method:

Go to the Versus menu

Use the following setup:

1 player VS CPU
7 rounds
time: doesn't matter (your going to knock out the CPU long before any time runs out.)
Game difficulty: Easiest ( you can use whatever setting you want to here but I found it quicker to set the CPU at easiest)
Pick your character ( I picked Ryu and Ken for both player controlled and CPU controlled).
Set your health at 25% or lower.
Set the CPU health at 0%
pick your stage.

Start each match by activating pandora: (Down, Down, MP+MK)

Which will count for the achievement:

Street Fighter X TekkenAn Unknown PowerThe An Unknown Power achievement in Street Fighter X Tekken worth 68 pointsActivate Pandora 500 times.

While in Pandora mode just leg sweep your opponent. DO NOT THROW A HADOUKEN (fireball) to win the match. If you do you will have a high probability of getting a "cheap" win and it will not count as a Pandora Finish even though it does say pandora finish on the screen. Rinse and repeat for 4 matches and then select "rematch" at the winning screen. There will be no load time and you can start right away with the next round of matches.

Which will count for the achievement:

Street Fighter X TekkenPower Consumes AllThe Power Consumes All achievement in Street Fighter X Tekken worth 191 pointsFinish a round with Pandora 300 times.

Both can be done at the same time.

I agree with Dark Rocky and I like that method but also add 3 losing rounds.

For the losing rounds,
"Once you begin the match, go Pandora mode(Requires 25% health and press Down Down mp and mk together) and you have about 7 seconds before you lose, but you also gain infinite meter too. Wait until you have 3 full bars on your meter before you do anything!!! Now with the second controller just walk up to the first player and attack him 3 times(each hit counts as a activation, so you get 3 activations per round), & the gem should kick in every time you get hit. So when you use all 3 bars, just DIE"

If you did everything right, the losing rounds will add an additional 9 Assist gem activations (21 total), 3 Pandora activations(7 total), but still 4 Pandora finishes!!

For those who like math:

500 activations for achievement/7 activations per match = 71.5 matches, so your achievement will pop after 72 vs. matches. If you do grind this out in one sitting, you can use the win/loss display at the end to keep track of your progress towards this and the Pandora wins achievement.

If you follow win 4/lose 3 rounds and activate on each round, this achievement will pop and leave you 28 pandora wins short, which will only take a further 7 matches at 4 pandora wins each.

Yes I'm bored I did this math in the middle of grinding this out.

Also be sure to use a stage like the training stage where the characters don't jump from one setting to the next between rounds so your matches go faster.

Pandora is activated by pressing Down,Down, then Medium punch and Medium kick(together). also, your health bar has to be at 25% or less full. Pandora is somewhat of a 'DESPERATION" maneuver.

The quickest means of obtaining this trophy comes in local versus using two controllers. Set it up so that you are using any character you feel like with a 25% health handicap, then make sure you set the AI to a handicap of 0%. It's also suggested that you increase the rounds to best of 7 in order to reduce load times. Once the match starts up, double tap down and press your medium kick and punch buttons. Standard controls this would be triangle and circle, this activates Pandora. Attack the enemy an instantly win, repeat the process 300 times and you'll have your trophy!

This process can also be done while playing against an AI, that's why you'd want to keep your health at 25% just in case they retaliated. When using Pandora your gauge also immediately refills, so if you would like I'd suggest getting your 500 ex special moves and 100 quick combos while going for Pandoras. Naturally, if you're going to do this it's recommended you'd up the health of the second controller/AI to 25 or 50%.

Ex specials are initiated by pressing two of the attack buttons instead of one while initiating a special move. An example of this would be an EX hadouken being a quarter-circle toward the enemy and a light+medium punch.

Quick combos are executed by pressing in either the left or right stick. You should have default quick combos set up from the start. They take one bar each to use.

Naturally, you don't have to do these if you don't want to however I found this to be the best time to do them. If you've already completed them, just stick with initiating Pandora and getting the quick one hit wins.

To activate Pandora you must have your active character at 25% health or less, this does not require an amount of Cross Gauge to perform. Input + and it will sacrifice your current active character and bring in your partner emitting a dark purple aura, this is Street Fighter x Tekken's unique comeback mechanic. In Pandora Mode your character will have unlimited Cross Gauge usage and their strength will increase significantly, however they only have 8 seconds to finish the fight before Pandora runs out and you lose the fight as a result.

This mechanic isn't as broken as X Factor from a certain Marvel vs Capcom 3 but opponents should keep in mind that with unlimited usage of Cross Gauge, careless actions could lead to a possible defeat.

Utilization:
When using Pandora mode it would be very wise only to utilize it as a Combo Ender. While it may still fall victim to damage scaling, if you can find time within a combo that has possibly a wall bounce to activate Pandora and use that characters Super Art, it may be more than enough to kill off a character depending on other factors.

When using Pandora keep in mind that the time in which Pandora is active still runs even during the animations from Supers. Watch out for carelessly using long ones or getting caught up in a long animation of that sort.

For a grinding method for this trophy please refer to "The Cross Revolution" for more information. You can keep track of your progress towards this trophy under "Player Data" in the main menu, select Player Records and it will display your overall progress.
