How to unlock the Not Friends, Family achievement in Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All - Definitive Guide

I unlocked this achievement today so I thought I'd write a guide to help others.
There are a total of 46 team members you need to unlock and here is the following team members.
12 blue team members
15 silver team members
10 purple team members
9 gold team members
For blue, silver and purple team members you must race in trial races winning the first 2 rounds out 3. You can't do win, lose, win. It has to be win, win. They don't unlock after every trial race but after a couple of events. On the event there's a small green box and has a percentage of 33%, 50% and 100%. You'll have to go round the map multiple times to get all members.
Now for the gold team members. Its a little different because you go round the map selecting events and shops and they pop up randomly. Simply click on an event and let your car travel to the location but don't start it. If nothing has popped up move onto the next location. This took roughly 3 hours to get the nine team members.
A quick note if you have max level for team mates it gives less duplicates thanks for the information Dl tsu.

Here to hopefully give some insight to anyone else who may be trying for this achievement/trophy.
I got the majority of the team members by doing trial races. Yes upgraded members to Lv 5 stops you from getting a duplicate of that member. For all the Gold and 80% of the purple members I got from just driving event to event. In particular Boston and Springfield in the Northeast section of the map.
I would just drive back and forth over and over. No racing needed as they pop up randomly. Be careful smashing buttons tho because its possible to back out to quickly and not accept the new member. Hope this helps.

Is anyone else getting duplicate team members? This achievement is bad enough without getting the same team members over and over again
