This achievement is unlocked by catching a weapon from mid-air. This can be done by catching a weapon another enemy has thrown or by catching a weapon you have thrown after it makes contact with an enemy or obstacle.
It is important to know that this can't be done with weapons that break on contact or do not rebound off of an enemy like the knife, meat cleaver, broken bottle etc.
Your best bet here is to go with a multi-use weapon like the pipe or a baton. These weapons can be thrown forward by holding forward and pressing the item pick up button. Throw one of these weapons at an enemy or wall and if you are in range of the item when it rebounds, you can press the item pick up button to catch the weapon in mid-air.

If you have the timing and are close enough, you can get a weapon and then throw it against a wall. It should bounce off the wall allowing you to catch it without relying on the AI.

Early sub boss level 2 I think throws a load of pipes into the air just jump and press b

Can also unlock this by catching the Boomerang you get at the beginning of stage 6.

To catch a weapon you must hit the 
button just as a weapon comes flying at you. Certain enemies throw weapons at you that you can catch, or you can throw weapons at enemies which causes them to hit and bounce back so you can catch it. You will probably obtain this naturally since this is very easy to do.

You have to catch a weapon in the air by pressing 
. An easy way to do this is to hit an enemy who is holding a pipe, than press while the pipe is flipping in the air.
Another easy place to unlock this is stage 6. You’ll find a boomerang that will come back to you when you toss it. Press to catch it.
