How to unlock the Split Screen Showdown achievement in Stumble Guys - Definitive Guide

From the main menu:
  1. Go into the Party menu
  2. Press cn_A on a different controller to add a local player
  3. Once a local player has been added, press Normal Game while still in the Party menu
  4. Press cn_Y to search for a game
Once fulfilled, the achievement should pop somewhere between loading into the lobby and half-way through the first stage.

I don’t suppose there is another way to get it? I only have one controller.

No, it has to be two controllers. Although, if you have a non-Xbox one, you could use Remote Play on PC or a phone.
