How to unlock the Tornado achievement in Stuntman: Ignition - Definitive Guide
As https://www.trueachievements.com/Zach+Cooper+FBI.htm said - this game is dead for it's online and doing a ranked match with a buddy is VERY easy.
This would not have been found without the help of Peter Slocombe
Now here is how you get this achievement with ease:
Start the game and go into "Multiclash" - this is the name they gave the Multiplayer mode.
Select the mode of connection (XBox live is probably what you would be using) and have one person create a Backlot battle match and the other people join that match.
Now, for the track - select "Overdrive 1"
When the race starts, turn around and go the opposite direction until the track turns. Still facing the opposite direction of the track, you should see two ally ways - one with the wood/barrels/cones/etc and one that looks like a real ally way.
What you want to do is drive down one ally way and then drift into the one next to it. There are plenty of items in both ally ways to keep your string alive, and enough room to ensure you can safely drift into them. It is best if this is done one at a time to avoid accidental crashing/string stealing.
Also you can use your Nitro boost while going down the ally ways to earn
You will gain another nitro boost for every 20 string increment (20/40/60/etc.).
Another note - after you get your 200+ string done, your buddy can ram into you, steal your string and gain
Also, you DO NOT have to finish the race. After obtaining the 200x string, you can just let the time run out and you will earn the achievement. All of the multiplayer achievements in this game will pop after the end of the race.
If you have any questions about this solution, please feel free to PM me.

I did this cheev online with ultimatedra & found that I sucked at going around & around & drifting
(I kept gettin visions of drifting on Forza4! - the drifting cheev on that took me ages to get)
- by following ultimatedra's solution to this, I found that there are five boxes in the left hand corner just after the two alleyways, past the barrier gates, just on the big right hand corner there. If you pull up by the side of these boxes & use your LT & RT, just move backward & forwards, a little bit at a time, you'll soon get the rhythm, on the forward motion you will get around 3-5 notches on your string multiplier, repeat! repeat! repeat!! & if you screw up a few times you still have enough time to get the 200x Multiplier.
*TIP* use a few nitro's on your reversing, this uses the nitro but does not move you miles away from the boxes, so you can keep your string going, if you want to get the Nitro Head cheev at the same time. (use all of your beginning nitros at the beginning - you only have to earn 10 nitros for Nitro head, not actually use them all - I still had two nitros I didn't use at the end of the match & the cheev popped still)
Cheers ultimatedra for picking up on what I was doing & then helping me get the Plugged In cheev :) :)

thanks for the tip on those boxes! i got my string in the alleyways initially, but had more trouble trying to earn the nitro and use them without breaking my strings, so the trick with the boxes worked perfectly! thanks so much for the tips! and the ramming to steal the string worked great with this too!

You need at least one other person for the achievement, it is quite easy to find your friends/boosting partners in ranked matches since as of June 6th, 2009 I declare the online devoid of life.
To get this you need to keep a stunt chain active until it passes the 200 mark, doing stunts like getting air, near misses and drifts will raise your stunt chain, you need to continue to do stunts consecutively to keep the chain growing. Some levels work better for this than others, I found Overdrive 2 and Aftershock 2 worked well, but experiment with the different levels to find one you like the best.
If driving around the track is too tough for you, you can find a large group of objects to get near misses on and keep driving back and forth passed them while using your nitro to keep your speed and chain up. Once your chain rises above 200 you can finish the event or let the time run out, even if you fail at the end of the match the achievement should unlock
I personally used the first turn on Overdrive 2 to get my achievement, on the second lap the route changes and becomes a long stretch with objects filling. Once I got to the end of the alley I would do a tight handbrake turn/drift and then slam on my nitro to get back in the alley before my chain expired. Sports cars tend to work better since they accelerate faster and turn sharper.
You will also likely unlock the achievement "Nitro Head" at the same time since you get a new nitro bonus with ever 20 counts on your chain.

I also did it on Overdrive 2, but later in the level. There's a part where there's two different paths you can take with a thin scene backdrop between the two paths. The left path has a bumper to put you up on 2 wheels and a car parked further along. You can easily do a circular loop around the scene backdrop, and there are many small objects that get your string up quickly. You don't even need nitrous to keep your score up.
As a note, my boosting partner parked and just watched me. When we were near the end of the timer he quickly rammed me. With my 250+ streak it was more than sufficient to give him the "Plugged In" achievement for stealing a 100,000+ score streak.
As a last note, we both failed the scene since neither of us finished, but the achievement still unlocks.

In a ranked Backlot Battle multiplayer game, earn a 200x multiplier to unlock this. Keep increasing your multiplier as fast as you can since this may take awhile. Also, make sure nobody crashes into you and stealing your opponents string helps.
Best done with a friend or find someoene in the forums.
