How to unlock the Born in the shadow achievement in Styx: Master of Shadows - Definitive Guide

The way to earn this achievement is by making the flame go out on the torches on the walls, you can do this two ways, 1 is too run up to it and hit ( Y ) to extinguish the flame. The second way is by collecting sand out of the bags and hitting ( LB ) when its locked on to the flaming wall torch. Good Luck not that you will need it. Message for help.

Difficulty: Easy

Simply walk up to a torch on the wall and push cn_T. This can be done on any level, or across all. Even when you die the torches you extinguished will stay on your record, so this can be done on the first level if you target all of them or just die a few times.

You extinguish a torch by getting close and pressing . You will almost certainly get this trophy just by playing through the story. There are literally hundreds of torches through the entire storyline. Any successful extinguish of a torch is immediately saved and counted in your game data. If you die or simply restart, then it is still counted.

The trophy can be said to be simply plot-related. But I will add that you can extinguish the torches with sand or extinguish them yourself.
