How to unlock the Sudden silence… achievement in Styx: Master of Shadows - Definitive Guide
1.- make a save in the same spot i did,
2.- use the sand to light out the torches.
3.- press to walk silently
4.- always watch for the guard on your right, (if he see you it's bye bye)
5.- when you are close to a wall always press to take cover this will make you pass unseen for the guards.
6.- reload the save and repeat.
note 1 : try to avoid the guard is resting in front of you, he is hard to kill with this method
if you follow this steps you will get the achievement in about 10 to 15 mins, for killing the four guards.
Note 2 : for the silent kill you must leave the pressed wen the guards pass through you.
This is earned by sneaking up behind a person and holding until they croak. Simply pushing is a normal kill and won't count. Every quiet kill you get in the game, whether you die or not, counts.
You should easily get this in natural progression. If not you are able to replay missions from the hideout and can easily rack up more.
There are only two ways that you can disable an enemy in this game and both end in their death. When directly behind an enemy:
- Tap for a quick kill. This option will not work for this trophy because the enemy will yell out (thus it is noisy).
- Hold for a muffled kill. It takes about 5 seconds and is quiet. This is what you must do for this trophy.
You will most likely get this trophy without even trying. The trophy Serial killer requires 200 enemy kills so even if you prefer a no-kill-stealth play-style (as I do), you will have to get that trophy eventually. The count is cumulative across mission replays and save reloads.
As a master of stealth and murder, Styx can dispatch enemy guards in two different stealthy ways. The first is to approach them undetected and tap for a quick kill. This method is quick but causes the guard to yell, thus attracting nearby guards to your position.
Rather than killing in such a unprofessional manner, you’ll want to instead hold when taking out enemies. This causes Styx to perform a muffled kill which is silent, but takes a few extra seconds to pull off. Overall, simply perform fifty muffled kills over the course of your playthrough and this achievement will unlock without any issues.
