How to unlock the Suicide mission achievement in Styx: Master of Shadows - Definitive Guide

First you must 'purchase' the 'Pounce' skill. The rest is in the video.
Video is not mine, credit goes to the uploader.

Maybe they are downvoting because they dont realize that setting a trap is with the cn_X button.

The video helps BUT
after you 'purchase' the 'Pounce' skill,
when you reach a chest or wardrobe, press X for Trap instead of entering with Y.

Difficulty: Easy, depending on your game progress.

While there's probably many other situations for this the first i discovered, that was quite safe, is the first part of mission 4, Deliverance.
Right at the start of the mission there's a platform to climb on your left.
Create a clone, get it to climb up, while avoiding the 2 guards (Only 1 moves, so it's actually really easy), and set a trap in the box on your left with cn_S.

The patrolling guard will set it off on his way past and the trophy unlocks immediately.

Note: You need the Pounce skill for clones. It's the second upgrade so it's not expensive.

This trophy requires you to learn the Pounce skill in the Cloning talent tree. It will cost you a total of 80 SP to learn this as you must first unlock Bind (30 SP) and then Pounce (50 SP). Skills may only be unlocked while you are in the hide-out. While in a mission, find any location where an enemy has a path that passes in front of a chest or cupboard. Move Styx to a safe observation location, and then create a clone. Control the clone and move to the chest or cupboard. Select (Set a Trap). Once the enemy passes by again, the clone will pounce and the trophy will pop. A caveat: I am pretty sure the enemy cannot be in detection status. I tried several times to use a scream to lure an enemy to a trapped cupboard or chest but the clone never pounced.

There are several locations where this will work but I'll explain where I achieved this trophy: Mission 2 (Master Key) in Zone 3 (Barimen's Apartments).

  • Go up the carpeted stairs at the beginning of the zone.
  • The next room is a library with a scholar and a single circling knight guard. This is the first time you will see this type of enemy and Styx will talk about it.
  • There is only one exit which is to the right of where you enter. Go that way.
  • This will take you to a balcony with a stationary look-out guard at the end. To your left and right will be chests that you can use.
  • The chest to the right is next to some stairs leading downwards, this is the chest where I set the clone as a trap and there is a patrolling guard that will eventually walk past this chest.

Buy the ability " Pounce " in the skill section " Cloning "
Approaching the chest as a clone, click on Set a Trap "and wait for a guard to pass near the chest.
As soon as the guard passes by the chest with your trap. Your clone will jump out of the chest and grab the guard, and you will receive a trophy.
You can get this trophy in almost any chapter.
I got the trophy in Mission 7, Act 1 " Renaissance " in the video in this exact place.

The first opportunity to complete this trophy will be at Master Key 3/4. Before this, you need to purchase the Pounce skill. Then follow the video guide .
