How to unlock the All Along The Gobtower achievement in Styx: Shards of Darkness - Definitive Guide

This sounds pretty hard, however there are some extenuating circumstances:

General tips
- You DO NOT have to get all of the insignias in the same playthrough of a mission. Meaning that if you want, you could go for one insignia at a time, and it would still count towards the achievement.
- There is NO time limit (except for the "Swift" insignias), so you can take your time with most of them
- AFAIK there is NO penalty for choosing an easier difficulty (it's still perfectly doable on Goblin difficulty though)
- There is NO penalty for save scumming
- The game stores your three latest quick saves, making it easy to backtrack if you saved in a bad spot
- There are skills you can buy that make some insignias a LOT easier
- You can respec your skills at ANY TIME, allowing you to make builds for getting a specific insignia.

Insignia synergies
The easiest combinations to go for are Thief + Shadow in a first playthrough, then Swift + Mercy in a second one (since kills cost valuable time anyways).

Shadow insignia
Just make loads of quick saves and reload if you get spotted.

Mercy insignia
Just don't kill anyone, you brute (except for "kill" mission targets that is, those don't count).

Thief insignia
If you're having trouble finding the Thief tokens, you could use a guide, or you could play far enough into the story that you can buy "Greed", the Ultimate skill in the Perception tree, which just plain shows you where the tokens are when using Amber vision.

Swift insignia
The most difficult insignia, which require you to find a good path to the objectives. With the exception of a few levels, the time limit is fairly generous though.

Again, there's no penalty for save scumming, so make manual saves whenever you're positive that you made a good path, and use the quick saves and reloading while trying to find a good path. If you completely botch a mission, you can both restart the entire mission as well as just restart the current zone from the menu at any time.

Invest heavily into the "Stealth" tree, more than anything into making invisibility last as long as possible.

If you're not going for Mercy in the same run as Swift, you can buy the Amber dagger from the alchemy tree, which will give you a point of amber for every kill. Paired with having stealth maxed out, this means you can be invisible and undetectable while performing a kill, as well as getting some of your amber back.

In missions where you're required to perform a kill, perform a kill undetected, or steal while undetected, with a maxed out stealth tree it is possible to just go invisible and perform the action. You might need to try it a few times, but it is possible to be "undetected" simply by being invisible.

Good luck!

Where does is say what you've accomplished because I did shadow insignia on my 1st playthrough then at the start on misson 8 ALL of my skills and points EVERYTHING was gone. I kept going and finished the game. At the end of mission 8 it said I didn't " finish solo" whatever that means as I never used co-op even once.. so then it restated my whole game at thr prolog. I played until geting to the hide out. Now I go to kision select and is ALL gone. Only the prolog is available.. I'm confused on what happend

I don't want to post 19 videos in a solution because the lag would be horrible, so here is my complete full stealth Walkthrough incl. all gold insignias, all collectibles and all secondary objectives.

Same as the "Golden Gob" achievement just on all levels. You can play through as many times as needed if you can't get it in a single run or just want to pace yourself. Have fun.

There are four types of Insignia: Swiftness, Shadow, Mercy and Thief. You do not have to earn them all in the same play-through as once they are unlocked they will stay unlocked. With that said, each insignia does require you to fully complete an entire mission in order for it to unlock. It is possible to unlock all 4 in a single run of any mission. You can review all unlocked insignias while in your hideout and any mission insignias at any time within a mission during the pause screen. There are 10 missions in all for a grand total of 40 gold insignias. This trophy will unlock during the mission completion screen of your final gold insignia completion.

Refer to the following trophies for insignia descriptions:

Swiftness - An athlete through and through
Shadow - Did you see something?
Mercy - Sensitive Gob
Thief - Ace of Scrap!

See Oh My Gob! for videos on Shadow/Mercy/Thief in one go.
See An athlete through and through for Swiftness videos.

Each mission in the game, from the Prologue to Mission 9, has four Insignias that can be collected for a generous amount of Skill Points (SP) in return. First, there's the Insignia of Swiftness, which is obtained for completing an entire mission under a certain amount of time; second, there's the Insignia of Shadow, which is obtained for completing the mission with no alerts; third, there's the Insignia of Mercy, which is obtained for completing the mission with no kills; lastly, there's the Insignia of the Thief, which is obtained for collecting all the tokens in a mission (twenty tokens per mission).

Each Insignia has a Bronze, Silver, and Gold rating, and for this achievement, you will need to aim for four Gold Insignias in all ten missions. Fortunately, they do not all have to be obtained in one playthrough of a mission; you can replay a mission multiple times in order to tackle the Insignias as you see fit.

In my experience, the Insignia of Swiftness will require its own playthrough of a mission, typically after you've completed the mission a few times already (that way you know where to go and how to best get to your objectives). The Insignias of Shadow and Mercy can easily be stacked in the same playthrough of a mission since they are both stealth-related in nature. Finally, the Insignia of the Thief should be done during its own playthrough since it will involve slowly and carefully exploring every zone for tokens (and it's much easier to kill enemies who may get in your way).

All in all, this achievement will unlock once you have obtained all four gold Insignia's for all ten missions in the game. Keep in mind that you can keep track of your progress of each Insignia at any time during a mission by pressing , as this will pause the game and display your current Insignia progress/stats. Additionally, as a reminder, you do not need to obtain all four Insignias on one playthorugh; you can replay missions as many times as you desire by accessing the Mission Book in Styx's hideout.
