You must destroy all 7 Elder Shards in the Valkyrie Furnace Room and NOT upgrade your abilities via returning to ability shrines. The furnace room is found straight left in Region 1. If you look on your map the room will have a flame symbol.
I suggest destroying the shards as you get them as they will unlock additional skills in your skill tree.
You will find 3 shards by defeating the main bosses of each region.
Another 3 shards from killing all the mini bosses, 3 in each region. ( each one grants a piece, 3 pieces make a shard)
The last 3 pieces to make the final shard are hidden in the world itself, one per region, and are always in the same spots. Once you unlock the Scavenger Skill in the skill tree they will be shown on your map.
The achievement will pop once you destroy your final 7th shard!
