How to unlock the Flung to Safety achievement in Sunset Overdrive - Definitive Guide
For this achievement you will need to play Night Defense missions, only available while crafting certain amps, doing Night Defense challenges, or playing online.
Before a Night Defense, there will be a pre-phase where you are given time to place traps. You will want to play a trap like a "Hack 'N Slay" or "Pyro Geyser" in good chokepoints of the map. Now nearby, you will need to place a "Fling Board" and aim it towards these other traps! If done correctly, there will be a white dotted line that connects the Fling Board to the other trap, and this means that enemies will be flung towards these deadly traps when they step on the Fling Board. Just continue doing this, and the achievement will unlock. It is cumulative, and will take anywhere from 2-5+ Night Defense missions.

I tried a few different ways and while having the Achievement snapped I saw which one was the most productive.
The very first base that you have to protect is the easiest one to do this at I found. 80 energy may not sound like much but it works. There are only two gates that you have to defend. Place one Pyro Geyser as close to each of them as you possibly can. That will use 20 energy. Then, just walk away from the traps a little ways towards where the enemies come from and set up 6 Fling boards throwing enemies, TOWARDS your base and into the pyro geysers. You can have this achievement completed in 3 if not 2 rounds.
All you have to do now is bounce from one Geyser to the other when they run out and watch the other side of the fences to make sure that anyone that may get flung too far you can kill with your gun of choice. Hope this helps!

This method worked beautifully. I got at least 3 trap badges per attempt. Fantastic guide!

The achievement is obtained by playing Night Defense Missions or Challenges. It can be done online or in single player but it is easier to do alone. You can use the traps you are given to start the game like the “Hack ’n Slay” but any trap that doesn’t need the player to activate is fine. In another words, no traps that require you to jump , grind on, or shoot at. The other trap you will be using is the “Fling Board”. Set the “Hack ’n Slay” either on high ground or at good distance from where you will place the “Fling Board”. The board tends to over shoot the traps, so distance is key. Now when you place the “Fling Board” face it towards the trap you already set. You should see a white dotted leading right to it. once everything is set up start the mission.

On the first base defense put a hack n slay in between the gates on the side the enemies come from.
Put flingers in front of the gates aiming towards the hack n slay.
It's possible to have two on each gate if I remember the energy costs correctly?

The Springboard is one of the two starting traps that you have access to during your very first Night Defense mission. When enemies run over it, it, most of the time at least, flings them in the direction that you place it facing.
To unlock this achievement you will need to have the Springboard trap fling enemies into another trap and have them killed from this course of events. It is easiest to place a 'Hack 'N Slay' trap then place a Springboard trap or two facing it (you'll know when it's lined up right as it show's you on screen when your Springboard is going to fling someone into another trap) and let enemies run over them and be flung into the Hack 'n Slay. They won't always die and the trap won't always work, but during a single Night Defense you can expect around 30 kills if you set it up correctly. Just keep replaying the first Night Defense until you've gotten enough.
After your hundredth kill in this fashion, the achievement will unlock.
